Drade - Still A Better Love Story Than Twilight

I don't think she is actually even trying to make Ed jealous..I think she was honestly legitimately hurt by his 'rejection' and I predicted right then and there that she'd be back snuggling with Drew, licking her wounds in the safety of his arms.

He is a wonderful wonderful friend. It is clear he would happily takr more than friendship from her, and yet when she plays him and then goes off after someone else, he is still there..the ever faithful friend. Just another thing to admire in him. I think he is actually as close to the perfect human being as you'd ever see.

People go on about Jade leading others on etc but lets not forget that it's Ed in this instance who did it and people seem to think that Jade deserves it because she prefered him over Drew (who she wasn't involved with anyway). Beats me, personally, why she'd prefer Ed to Drew but perhaps seeing Ed's personality (or lack thereof) might make her appreciate all that Drew is. Way more interesting to watch anyway than boring people like Jasmin (who??).

Totally agree! I've gone right off Ed now. He came across as a complete moron in the way he handled it and his stumbling to get a coherent sentence out was just embarassing. His emotional intelligence isn't really up there, is it?

Kudos to Ed for putting a stop to it if he wasn't comfortable - but what I find interesting is that other housemates also felt there was some thing between Ed and Jade.

While Jade did initiate the kiss in the bedroom, it was Ed who initiated the 'goodbye' kiss, and then asked for a second one. Tully had been telling anyone that would listen that Ed and Jade were the assumed couple in the house and Heidi also said that. She was also the idiot who did the prediction in front of the whole house that Ed and Jade would share a bed. And Ed then asked her twice, in front of everyone (peer pressure!) And then Heidi was also the one who encouraged Ed to call a stop to it (Heidi agenda?)

I've mentioned before that I think Tully has been making a play for both Drew and Ed, and in that regard it was also interesting in the video with her and Tim yesterday where she told him that she has alternated between boy and girlfriends - her most recent boyfriend being just two years ago - and that she wouldn't be surpised if she marries a guy.

Who wants to risk life and limb by reporting this in the Tully thread?! I was apparently right out of line for saying I thought she was a 'temporary' lesbian, ealry on in the piece.

Drade-ed is like the Bold and the Beautiful, it can be stretched out forever, though I suppose they won't be in the house long enough for Jade to fall for Ed's brother and father and Drew's cousin.

I avoid the Tully thread - not a lot of objectivity in there!

I wonder if the family-friendly format will show Jas kissing two different guys (Ed and Xavier) last night, and highlight the fact the Ed was kissing a different girl two nights running - or just keep on manufacturing the non-existant 'love-triangle' which gets people so worked up about Jade?
 
I think if a single female intruder comes into the house and makes a play for Drew maybe Jade would realise she likes him as more than a friend. I know personally I had a guy friend who always had a thing for me but I didn't think I saw him that way, until he got a girlfriend and all of a sudden it's like a lightbulb went on. We have been dating on and off for 8 years now, who knows maybe she just needs a wake up call.

Perhaps so - I still think they have chemistry. But the Ed thing is over - even though he was incapable of put together a coherent sentence, Jade got the message, so let's move on to other HMs. Jas doing a nudie run and Ben impersonating Tahan in her bikini and shorts this morning - let's see their stories

I completely agree. I actually thought it was the other way around at first - that she liked him, and he didn't. I think it's a personality thing. Drew definitely doesn't show his emotions completely, whereas she shows them almost more than she maybe wants to. At first, he seemed to be so upset about his situation, but then editing showed us him saying he liked her in the diary room. I don't really blame her for assuming he wasn't into her. It was around then she changed her mind, and I totally think she's trying to protect herself from rejection.

I feel bad for Jade. It's always the girl people go after in situations like this, but it's not even that, really. She seems like such a nice and lovely girl. All she really wants is a guy to like her, and unfortunately she keeps assuming incorrectly. I don't blame her with Ed because Ed played along and played it up, and he's so gentlemanly it's hard to read even him sometimes. With Drew, it's a misunderstanding thing. He doesn't want to tell her how he feels, but he probably still feels it. I think his feelings for her (romantically) are dying a little though - I can see him moving on, but her eventually realizing she had something there with him when it's too late.

I like her, but she made the wrong move. She should have kept her feelings about not wanting Drew as anything more than a best mate to herself more. I know her type though and I don't think she's doing anything maliciously or even (100%) knowingly.

I don't know about Ed but I definitely think Tully has a thing for Drew. I don't buy that she's a lesbian. She's probably bisexual.

I was utterly shocked at how incoherent he was at that moment. I just kept praying that Heidi would come out and interrupt for him and clear the air (as she usually inserts herself anyway). Amazing.
 
His brother says he apparently does that a lot - the ridiculous lies or reasons for not wanting to do something. It's in his blog.

Tully has a massive thing for Drew. I reckon she'd ditch her gf for him in a heartbeat..but I don't blame her :p

Welcome to the Forum rb2586. I love seeing new people joining and putting their thoughts here, because it makes me look at the situation through another person's eyes. I'm amazed at how many articulate people have posted on this Thread. I urge anyone else who is sitting there reading this please join, because I only joined a bit over a week ago, and I'm already up to 100 Posts ha ha ha. I sat here for years reading the Big Brother Threads, but I was always too shy to join in. Now I won't shut up lol, and I knew if I did join I would be like a dam wall bursting and that's exactly what's happened. Anyway rb2586 you made a good point when you mentioned Jade may be looking for validation, constantly needing reassurance from the men that they find her desirable. So often it comes down to how you feel about yourself.

Years ago when I was in my early twenties, I remember going out Clubbing and I had a friend that looked a bit similar to Jade. And she looked better than me :( but I was always amazed at how much time she spent agonizing over her hair, makeup, asking me if her outfit looked alright. I used to think she was doing it because she was fishing for Compliments, but looking back, she wasn't. She seriously doubted herself, and even when she would have all the guys flocking around her, she was constantly in the Ladies Bathroom checking her appearance. I noticed she was drinking more and more, and would slur her words, and I could see those certain men hanging around her, hoping she was going to be an easy one to take advantage of. One night she was taking a bit too long in the bathroom, so I went and checked on her. She was no longer in there, she was outside with this creep trying to talk her into leaving and going home with him. I told him to piss off and go home to his blow up doll, and then he turned on me because he felt I had ruined his chances of getting lucky for the night. I knew the best thing to do was to leave so we caught a taxi, and my friend didn't want to go home, so I remember making her a cup of tea and pulling out a foam mattress on my loungeroom floor. I decided to ask her why was she drinking more and more and she said it made her feel more confident about herself. I was stunned when she said she hated herself and the way she looked :confused:

So maybe I'm being too hard on Jade. I was thinking that she is the type of girl who strings men along and plays games with them. But it must've hurt her feelings when Ed told her he thought it was best if they didn't share a bed. But I was also confused when she mentioned that she felt like she had been dumped. (By Ed)

Now I've just got a text message from a friend whose into Big Brother and Jade was seen having a serious long kiss with some dark haired Housemate. She said she didn't know who the man was, except he had dark hair. Things are bad when I'm typing this during my lunch break. I'm addicted to this forum ha ha ha. Ooh there is another new member here that I need to say hullo to. Lets see if I can respond with just one sentence lol. But I need to find out who this dark haired guy is that Jade is kissing. Drew or Ed :confused: I keep falling asleep typing this because I didn't go to bed until 2am because of this Forum ha ha ha. I have to check the live feeds that Consuela goes to the trouble to put up.
