Do you think Ed will wait for Jade?

I don't think he will. He was far to cold with her tonight. But I hope with all my heart that he will. She will need him to be there even if they don't end up to stay together.

Every eviction interview has been weak and soft. When hard questions were blaringly obvious to ask, we just got fluff. We need Gretel back.

Yep his body language when he was leaving the house spoke volumes. He almost completely ignored her on the way out, except she kept shoving herself in his face (as she has done the whole time)
 
I believe his ego will force him to create a short-term relationship with her just to prove to everyone that he was genuine.

He will NOT want Tim/Drew to be right about him not being into Jade.

His brother would have warned him not to hook up with anyone outside the house but I guarantee they did a yod crawl last night and Ed will probably be asleep for a few days to recover.
 
If Jade wins Ed might want to be her man, he would probably think that her win is due to him.

Agreed. They could easily have confronted on a couple of issues without making it nasty. For example, they could have called him out on saying 'don't mess with relationships' and then shown him when he did exactly that.

She was horrible to Mikk - even saying the dog doesn't miss her and Maddie's exist was basically "Look at all these videos of people making fun of you and hating you."
 
He seems so obsessive about what people think I wouldn't be surprised if he married her and lived his whole life as a lie.

I reckon right now he is breathing a sigh of relief and happy he has one weekend to be free before she potentially joins him again. I expect he and his family are working out ways he can avoid anything with her but if they can't figure out a way that doesn't end up making him looking bad he might suck it up for a few weeks.

If I was him I would make the cut NOW. Sooner the better. People will forget about him anyway but he needs to cut her off now as it will only get harder the longer she is around .....can you imagine the discussions he and his footy mates are having about her?!

I know she will disappoint me....but when Jade is on the outside and has seen footage of how he's acted in the house (particularly how he spoke about her to Heidi and when he nominated her) she won't be as eager.
I also think her friends and family will be in her ear.
 
My first thought was no, But then I thought he is so into how people perceive him so I think he will have a relationship with her. Though it will be very toxic and will not last long. I read that Jades dad is on the way so hopefully he can talk sense into his girl and explain that he is just not that into her

YES! Gretel is intelligent (as is Sonia....) and obviously believed in doing her research as well as the integrity of the show as both entertainment and social experiment. It's not just about the hair, dress and make up Sonia. She should take a look at how Emma Willis (BBUK) does it. She serves 'look' and 'interview' without compromise and really anchors the show. Sonia is more a messenger for the BB Producers. It's a shame. And IMO partly the reason why this series is not as strong.

I believe the night in the gold room was for this very reason.

I have a theory that nothing sexual has happened between them and he had to do "something" to have a story for his mates when he gets out. So he set up a night alone to do it before it was too late.

Imagine what his mates would say if he told them he was hardcore stalked for 80ish days by a blonde airhead but didn't even get a root?

I could not agree more! Gretel owned all of the interviews and wasn't afraid to ask the tough questions. She took ownership of each question and stayed in control at all times. Plus she had wit. Great great post!

For sure.
Then in a few week's time when his relationship with Jade is no longer in the spotlight, he will dump her like a hot potato, giving her some weak excuse like "we're looking for different things in life" or "it's not you, it's me".
Then his footy cronies, brother and family will stonewall her and blockade any access to Ed for poor old Jade.
