Did we work out what this was?

Forgive me if I am sounding stupid to you.

This is a quote from TV Tonight's David Knox's Q&A interview article with Sarah Thornton and Mel Tracina before this year's season started.

What about time zone considerations, especially including for Queensland in the state you’re filming?
Sarah Thornton: “I’m working on a really nice Christmas present for Queensland, but I can’t confirm it yet. But I’m not gonna lie, it’s tricky. I’m working on there being access points for people all over Australia. But we’re not there yet. We’ve got a plan to try and make sure that viewers feel connected in spite of the time differences.”

What was that Christmas present?
It certainly was not a Christmas Grand Final and I don't think this was referring to the Christmas theme of the Big Brother house at the end stages.

That they could select NSW/VIC/TAS in the 10play app to watch shows live instead of an hour delayed?

But I think it was already set up like that. That's all I got. Similarly she said they had something to replace FNL but it was an oversized jenga game that didn't even make the episode (or maybe it did fleetingly).

Going back to that interview, she promised so much that they didn't deliver later on.

I mean, we’re definitely taking a raw approach with the show this year, and it should feel real. We don’t want it to feel interfered with.
Flamingo!

watch some really riveting content overnight.
Housemates being in bed early and/or the birds in the garden.

we do have some excitement in store for Friday night that I think will appeal to the viewers who love Friday Night Games
see above

and that viewers still feel like they’re getting to decide on their favourite for the winner
If they stick to their story that Coco didn't get a heads-up, viewers might not have gotten a chance to decide on their favorite for their winner.

the people we are sending into this house are watchable, lovable, and gonna bring some brilliant entertainment
*insert fart noises*
