Tim was a unique player, no doubt. He played a game that in his year won it for him.
No, I don't think Tim has ruined BB. Channel Nine not affording us with what proved a winning formula on Ten is what has diluted the show down to what we have now.
Simply, the show needs a return to where we could saturate ourselves with as much content as we wanted. Where we really could get to know the HM's well. 24/7 live feeds, Uplate, adult content. Early timeslot for the young viewers, apparently where the most money is. Prizes. Less fiddling and manipulation by producers. It's all been said here many times before.
The 'Turkey Slap' incident could have been handled by having the live-feed on a short delay. No need to buckle down to politicians and public outcry.
With ideal viewing options many HM's, past and present, could have rose to capture our attention and interest. We would again feel that we were witnessing dynamics occurring in time and context. We wouldn't be left with more questions than answers and the injustices to HM's of contrived editing couldn't occur and we truly could make informed opinions on them.
Just a question of interest, as we now see Crowdfunding raised as an option for financing shows/series. Would many of you pay for the BB you wanted? Under certain assurances and conditions, I would.

On the first night I was comparing each housemate to previous ones to find this years Tim (witty+ unique) and I couldn't.
2012 Michael and Tim were both really entertaining but Tim was the more witty version (no hate for michael...but his thing with Estelle pretty much killed his popularity since it was so unexpected).
I always like that quirky weird guy and girl eg. Stacey, who is really in there not to sleep and eat but to truly entertain and both those guys did a good job at making their own seasons funny
I remember seeing Tim in 2013 intro and being all...aaaaaaaaah it's michael 2.0, but then he just got better and better as the season went on.
This year NO ONE is like that. No one is in there to entertain the viewers, the housemates seem to be money obsessed and in there just to be there for the experience not to win us over by being funny or different.
The previous years HMs were also in there for the money but they actually made us like them and hate them which was what made them a deserving winner.
Once again, I find it hard to really like a HM this year as much as I liked Tim, Ben12 and Michael because I feel like we haven't gotten to know any of them and it's been over 4 weeks.
The only person I can find in there this year that's unique and not a sheep is David and hence why he's my favourite.
But to be honest, I think it is true that Tim was the ultimate bb housemate we want to see and why channel nine should have had an all-stars series and ended it with that.
Should have got all the hated and loved housemates and put them all in the one season!

Tim definitely deserved the winning spot, he was entertaining and brought a lot of fun in the house. He did stir the pot, but that made the show worth watching... I didn't think there was a more deserved winner then Tim. I enjoyed last year.
Channel 9 ruined big brother. No live feeds. From this point of the game, I still don't even know where the bedrooms are located. Actually show where the rooms are, and less tasks, more conversations...

I loathed Tim he's just a fame whore
It was obvious from week 2 he was going to win last year

I don't think Tim has ruined anything. It seems just a relatively unfunny unlikeable uninteresting group - compared to the last two years, with piss poor editing - compared to any year. The stakes feel so much lower this year.
I preferred 2012 to 2013 anyway. Tim was a different kind of winner, and a not undeserving winner, but he wasn't my favourite housemate and I don't particularly miss him as a housemate.

The 2012 housemates wouldn't have expected anything about the new Channel 9 version of Big Brother so I take my hat off to them
Tim certainly was/is my favourite housemate all together, but he knew what he was getting in to, although I don't doubt that he wasn't himself at all..

The problem is that instead of sticking to a tried and true process, we get HMs flatmates, ones specifically hand picked and suggested by others.
Then excessive noms talk, dull tasks, too much outside interference, not making the crowd quiet at a live cross and continuous breach of fundamental rules.

Why the hell did they let housemates talk about noms. The whole point of big brother is NOT to talk about nominations. Channel 9 you are ruining Big Brother.. I enjoyed watching Friday night live, because it was hilarious. I know they tried to bring it back(Saturday Showdown.), In my eyes it failed. What has Shelly got to do with that(cough...fashion...cough) It's better of with the old hosts, or just Mike and Mikey... seriously. Bring it back.
