Episode Day 9 Daily Show and Nominations - 17/11/2025

Also, can’t wait to see how they spin this tonight… FYI last night on the streams the producers Big Brother told Holly to set up a date for Bruce and Coco. Even though they both weren’t really into it. Even gave the pair alcoholic to persuade them. This show is becoming more and more scripted.

Let’s see how much of that they really show tonight…

I'm calling it, this was the worst episode of the season so far.

I do not for one second believe that Michael actually chose Holly, but was rather coerced into it. It's also clear that they weren't going to let him speak for long live (and given he went straight into rants about news outlets, it's not surprising). The fact they'd only let him give one word answers is very telling. I'm shocked he was allowed on screen live at all, it must have been a contractual obligation.

The Colon bias was unbearable, I could smell him through the screen 💩 and the crocodile tears in the diary room were insufferable. So many other things happened that could have been focussed on.

It's obvious that the producers have chosen Mia to be the evictee, considering they cut her understandable reactions to Michael's nasty final words. If they wanted her to stay, they'd show anything to make her sympathetic. Though it's also clear that the only reason they showed Jane tell off the boys was to justify so many of them nominating her. Which brings up the next point...

The nominations were ridiculous. People nominated based on events that we hadn't seen on screen. And Colon's nomination was unacceptable. He was acting out how he wanted to beat up Jane. I am absolutely certain the allegations against him are 100% accurate.

Holly was told who was in fourth place, it's the only explanation for not exercising her power. In fact, why even give her that option? Make her use it! All people with nominations superpowers have been obligated to use them in the past.

Channel 10 had so much good will leading up to this season, and they are continually shitting in our faces. I have no faith in the show.

I haven’t been watching too much. I watched a few of the daily shows. And when I heard the “sad” music they put in the background when one housemate was in the diary room talking about something sad from their past I immediately felt very strange. I’ve never seen a big brother, USA, AUS, CANADA, UK, where they put incidental music into the background like that. Absolutely ruined the ‘reality’ of it.
Just that alone made me feel like crap.

I not so sure maybe wHolly was happy with the result and reallized influencing the result could have negative impact on herself

Exactly right.

I called what she was going to do and say before it even happened. Bad look if she used the power. So went the “I am going to trust my housemates, be fair, and proceed with who they have nominated” route. She’s playing the smart, long game.

Tbh I’m kind of relieved this series is short, I’m not really vibing this cast the more I see of them. I wouldn’t be mad if evictions start ramping up soon.
I feel the same.

Any goodwill I had left for the show was extinguished last night after seeing the constant shots of Ben Norris in the audience. It really triggered me into an angry emotional state. WTF! And also, the Colin favouritism really brought back the Channel 9 feeling when the producers' favourites were shoved down our throats, and you just know Mike Goldman has a hard on for him (from his comments on social media). Then evictee Michael came on stage, which was completely pointless. It doesn’t look like we will even get highlight packages anymore. And to top it off, the music was too bloody loud when Big Brother was announcing the nominees. Shit shit shit.

I’m pissed off. 😡

Eww. Coco come on now. Don't lower yourself to that.

Agree. I'm finding myself needing to take breaks from the live stream now because the behaviour in there is just so consistently awful.

It's reminding me of 2005 when Dean's pack of boys made the house super toxic for about a month - complete with similar fart and poo jokes, if anyone remembers them deliberately doing "reverse kangas" in the toilets.

20 years later Ten still wants to put awful people on pedestals. I'm growing tired.
YUP. WHY IS IT SO HARD TO CAST LIKEABLE PEOPLE???

DID YOU GET THAT 10?

Only now just watching this ep, seems that there wasn't much of a Michael interview? Would've been nice to get a bit of feedback based on how the housemates nominated. They need to really tone down the music when announcing the nominees omg, could hardly hear BB.

The entire live show team need to be scrapped. Mel is being done so dirty by them

Michael is too dangerous to have on live television. The fact he was there at all was astonishing.

They should have recorded an interview with him the night before and played what was usable during the show.

Why do people on here loathe Ben Norris so much? Isn't he the gay guy who won 2012 Big Brother who proposed to his boyfriend live on stage?

I think having a couch will make the biggest difference, as just standing like they do is just so tacky. Or ditch the audience and get her to host from the control room. If they could do it back then, they can do it now.

Caught up on the first half of Friday Night's and first bit of The eviction show I came in midpart through on, so ill just drop a few thoughts here since the dailies are closed;

Noticing/interacting with the visible/swivel cameras has invariably been a thing on BBUK, I think its just here we are not as used to it (The only vible camera they played around with used to be in the garden in like BB01/02 iirc) and theres a ceretain line where it becomes too much and wholly performative like it was with that bit with Colin.

Speaking of, now Jane's nominated again, I thought the bit with her getting upset over the PDA was perhaps a little OTT, then again small things can seem like/blow up into huge drama inside the house. but also could there have been perhaps a small chance she might've been amping it up a bit to get a bit of the sympathy vote off Holly onto herself for the Eviction? hmm.

What Holly maybe should have clarified instead of Edward and everyone jumping on the OMG she LIEEDDD. Is not that they havent been kissing at all but that its not like they've been having full on audiable make outs like Jane was saying perhaps. Again with the everyone calling out 'fake showmances' On the other hand, we see this time and time again, It could be simply a situationship for the house, as long as everyone involved knows whats up kinda thing, which is also what Jane was getting at by giving Colin a talking to that he could get is fragile little heart broken as he seems way more invested in it catching feelings than Holly seems to be. YMMV.

Anyways, BTW what IS the 'Macaroni' and where did it come from?

A few more out of touch/tone deaf comments from Bruce; although tbf when he said 'all women should be fit' I think he could've also maybe been muddling it up a little bit with his spiel about 'his' type, and it being taken by Allana as casting aspersions on everybody IYKWIM, and then of course the bit about dental being cheap. I might have to go back and see his opening VT again what is his job its sounding a bit like cashed up bogan/tradie kinda vibes with a slice of what was it living on his parents property or something which may also influence some of these skewed perceptions of things he seems to have perhaps.

As for hogging the airtime its a bit of a give and take, Sometimes keeping more background characters a bit longer to see if they emerge once a few big players go can be interesting, sometimes taking out a more louder housemate when we think we mightve seen enough or their storyline has started to become a bit stale can change the dynamics as well.

Sometimes its giving the right housemates something to do as seen with this episode with Emily getting the secret task and enlisting Abiola as her offsider with setting up the party in secret task. Compared to if they gave production favourite Colin the task, giving him even more airtime inaddition to the Holly stuff and he ended up picking Vinnie or someone.

Eviction show; first bit with the flirting argument; thats a thing that causes many an insecurity, it seems to be the girls that usually cop it for being 'too friendly' misconstrued for flirting, or being used to flirting or using their looks so much that they start to be a lot more less aware of if they are doing it or if its coming across that way and starting to second guess sometimes idk. As long as they aren't going overboard with being overtly touchy in a sexual manner or anything like that I suppose where its hard NOT to mistake that for flirting, its one of those grey areas about how its perceived by others and onlookers IYKWIM.
The "Macaroni" is like the conch (shell) in Lord Of The Flies.
When you hold " the conch" it's your turn to talk.
Everyone better listen up!!

Interest it really waning - not watching ep live to many ad's and I can FFwd the BS too
I find it more interesting reading the live stream diary - thanks to those contributing

Its beginning to seem like a puppet show
-Controlling of conversations and prompt to have conversion so they can capture it for the TV epidsode ?
-Tell them to wear same clothes as yesterday for continuity ?
- The Coco - Bruce Date BS

I called Bull shit on the Michael picking Holly as HoH as soon as it was aired and Im sure my neighbours heard my rant out loud So much is set up Im sure they have already got the winner in place and all the votes are a scam for money. We shall wait and see I agree with all of your points made here

Voting is free so how can it be a scam for money? Not everything is a conspiracy

Yeah I know what it was used for in context as a prop, but what actually is the object, lol, like where did they get it from in the house? It looked like it had some buttons maybe on the side or something haha
