Episode Day 8 Eviction Show - 16/11/2025

🤞 Fingers crossed for a decently produced live special - finally. Give Mel something to do!

We know they’re going to skip Saturday entirely from the weekend recap. But even still, 50-minutes (excl. ads) for Mel content, Daily Show and eviction announcement doesn’t leave us much time with the evictee.

At least we’ll finally get a live cross to the house. I wonder if they’ll wait til the eviction announcement, or check in earlier like the old Ten and Nine days.

I’m curious how they plan to run tonight’s show. Hopefully the rain doesn’t mess with things again.

Next Sunday's eviction episode runs for 70 minutes too. I just find it bizarre. You think the eviction show would be the longest running show of the week? They have the content there essentially at no extra cost to fill for 90 minutes (including ads). So weird.

If Jane is evicted I'm not trusting the online voting process for the rest of the season lol.
Oh even if she isn’t, I still don’t trust it.

I just said in another thread, I don’t buy that the voting is legit for one second. The current system has made me very wary. Regardless of what happens tonight, I doubt our votes are the final say at all.

Rule Numero Uno: ALL REALITY TELEVISION IS RIGGED.

Whoever goes tonight is just who production sees as the most expendable.
Correct. But not all reality television.

If voting is free, then yes, we have every reason not to trust it. It was the same when BB was on Seven. When the voting doesn't involve any cost, the result is absolutely susceptible to manipulation.

If the voting involves some sort of payment, legally there are independent auditors that check results.

I am very surprised Ten continued the free voting trope for this revival. Even Seven’s current Australian Idol has bypassed Australia’s premium SMS laws and still found a way to have paid voting to confirm validity. As a result, I think it’s reasonable to be wary about the BB evictions this year.

…although given how much of this revival has already been revealed to be contrived (thanks to the live streams), perhaps I’m not all that surprised.

I know... I'm the one who informed the forum of this originally 🤣

What facts? The whole idea is based on voting being free, and a generic disclaimer which may have been left in in error.
I still like to believe that is only there due to our strict gambling laws and is being read into far too much.

We will see when we have a proper line up for eviction, imo none of the three are worth saving at this stage of the game.
