Episode Day 7 (14/09/2014): Big Brother: Sunday

What I don't like about the direction this season is taking is that I feel like I'm being treated like a fool by Alex and the other producers. I wouldn't be surprised if they have story boards somewhere in the office. I said it earlier today on another thread. To me this is not BB as we all knew it. It may as well be Keeping Up with the Kardashians. It feels just as directed and forced.

Watch Aisha turn into stalker Jade.

I'm sorry, these people aren't nearly majic like last year. And all the changes make this now an unrecognizable show.

Does anyone have a clue why they changed everything about the show? I thought it did well last year.

these men are repulsive.
dissecting the women whilst having no self awareness of just how bloody average they all are.
I think the biggest thing for me is that they jump around too much and don't show enough of a conversation to get context. It makes it extremely difficult to get a handle on not only the personalities but how they all relate together.

2014 - year of the soundbite.

I was trying to work out what it was about tonight's episode and your post opened up the gates...

There is no build up, no plot, no storyline, no history... Shove people on a dance floor and then in a spa and kiss. Even a music video gives more reason than this, you know, bunch of girls in a bikini dancing shaking their booty, guy looks rich, throwing money around, girls adore it etc etc. On big brother it's hi I'm travis, hi I'm Aisha, spa? Ok! Kiss? Ok! Seriously where is the rest of the story! This is like year 9 in school hearing of how so and so kissed so and so. It's teen stuff, not adult content.

I'm disappointed

I agree with everything you said. And exactly, it is "teen stuff". It may have "adult content" but it's not adult. If you know what I mean.

I had started to type earlier - but then got distracted by Skye's arse - that it almost feels like I'm watching a satire of a reality show. Which I'm almost certain has already been done on E! maybe? Where they take all the cliches typically found on reality tv and then re-enact them with the audience in on the joke. Although so far we haven't been let in on it. That being said though I didn't mind tonight's episode bar the choppy editing. I've always more enjoyed when they air longer chunks of time, even if there's a lull for a few seconds, because that feels more real to watch. This feels like the baby food version where the producers think they need to mush everything up for us so we can swallow it.

@SomeName - I wasn't being shady at all! I honestly didn't know which one it was so I figured I'd cover my bases and just roll up to 82. I actually like Lethal Weapon. Mel was the shit back then.

For those asking earlier if Katie has a BF, in one of those BB articles it said she is single
Priya is married, Gemma's relationship status' its complicated' (seems from that she said in the house, she's friends with a guy she dated for 8 yrs?) but all the other girls are single.
Jason, Dion and Lawson are in long-term relationships, and Sam is dating but the 4 other guys (Ryan,Travis,Jake and David) are single

Post of the night.

And no, I'm not asleep yet.

I should really stop making posts claiming I'm going to bed.

Is there any where I can watch this ep?

I stopped watching midway and I wanna know what I missed - or do I?

Episodes seem to come on the next day.
They drank, some hook ups, the power bottom couple went to the fantasy suite

Oh and then this amazing lady came in and got the party really going

Got to agree. Don't know what it is about this year but finding it hard to even really like any of the HM's. There are no real stand outs that I want to support - seem to be throwing my support behind Gemma and that's only because she seems like a square peg in a round hole at the moment and Lawson because I liked his intro video. Hopefully once nominations start things might change and the HM's will start too come into their own.
