Episode Day 30 (7/10/2014) Live Eviction #5

Nope, Jason at auditions was the same as he is in the house. Great at putting on entertaining personas.
See that's what I don't get sometimes, people always comment saying "someone" is acting up for the cameras. I agree there are contestants that do but others may just be like that in real life. I always play pranks at work and call other workers up and use different accents, sometimes I do an interpretative dance for my mangers to "convey" what I've done for the day. Just because I love making others laugh.

So I guess if I went on BB everyone would be saying I was acting up when that's just me in my everyday life, I'm always amusing myself and others, and I truly think that's Jason's personality. I like Skye but I think she acts up for the cameras, sometimes.

I think the only smart person in the house is jason. He doesn't bitch about anyone and he doesn't reveal their secrets or do anything of that nature. As much as I like priya I think jason should win. Housemates should know from past years that the public doesn't like bitches. Yet sam, Sandra, Ryan, priya, Lisa, Gemma, Lawson and the others all bitched at one point and it didn't look pretty

I was talking about this sort of thing on another thread. Although it's admirable that Jason keeps all his gossip to himself, it doesn't make for especially captivating viewing. His "Manuel" accent is funny but you can't base an entire show around that. The gossiping however let's us in on whats happening. I thought Sam and Lawson were running the show but it turns out Sam doesn't even like Lawson that much and Invisible Ryan is Sam and Sandra's puppet master. Priya gossips for strategy. She warned Jason he has a target on his back. And it's true. Travis on the other hand sat at the top of the bed like a king, with David at the bottom with the dogs, and ordered his maidens to vote for those flying under the radar. All that gossip gave us great insight on house dynamics, so I'm all for it.

Can you come work at my office? I'd love to see someone's day explained through interpretive dance.

Leo isn't fake :-( I wish they'd stop saying that.
They think he's fake because he is so positive all the time. They don't trust anyone who they think is not acting like they do (ie catty, gossipy, tattle tales, nasty etc). I can't warm to him but I do think he is a decent guy and is intelligent and is playing the game as hard as he can, ie his "I'll let Lawson (or was it Sam?) be the alpha male" comment and also his deflection immediately when Sam said he was intimidated by him. His (Leo's) response to Sam was strategically perfect.

I am sorry (not) but wtf is with Jason to win BBAU this year re evicted housemates opinions? He adds zero entertainment imo. I just don't get it?O_O
The housemates see much more then we do which is what *they* don't get. We can only vote on what we are shown and with no live feeds we are making decisions based on very selective data. Any BB is good for me, but this Ch7 version is so far removed from the original concept of the show that it really shouldn't be called Big Brother anymore.

I used to love, back in the day, when those of us pathetic enough to pay for live feed AND watch it every spare minute we could, were able to make informed comments. So many times we could correct the way people were portrayed by the editing simply because we knew what occurred before or after the smidgeon of footage that was shown on the TV show.

*sigh* I miss real Big Brother.

And tonight in Lisa's eviction interview I learnt that it's ok to be a cunt when that's 'just the way I was brought up'

I was thinking exactly the same thing. And then Lisa got applause after Sonya said that she speaks her mind. Ok sure that's alright to be honest with people, but *know how to be honest with people*. The way Lisa behaves is terrible!!

For a show that is supposed to bring us insights and help viewers maybe become better people (myself included), Sonya missed the nail on the head by a wide margin. The nail is now bent and screwed! If it was Gretel she would have been put in her place and learned that she has got to work on herself and change her ways... So much for actually taking something worthwhile from the show!!!

BB at least *try* and make us better people!!

So during the last 2 sets of nominations when Sam and Lawson had that same super power they both checked where each other was on the board, which to me said that they were both very close........ When did Lawson get pushed out and when was Ryan brought into the core power group? I vaguely remember Ryan being brought up into the tree house during a party to talk strategy....... can't remember if it was Lawson or Sam.

Yes, why aren't they doing a live feed?!? That's probably the one thing that makes it a real 24/7 house... And plus they can get extra revenue from it... Is it that they don't have enough budget to have cameras on them all the time, or what ?

It doesn't have that excitement of being real now.

What a great episode! :D

I am loving the task this week. Lots of interesting conversations are happening. It's fascinating. Hope it continues. And it didn't seem much was contrived which is brilliant.

Thought Jake had no right to say those things about Leo in his goodbye video. Who does Jake think he is? Especially considering he kept the fact he was/is Tim's roommate a secret. He can really talk about Leo's secret agenda .

Lisa's interview was great. I didn't particularly like her in the house but thought her "bitchy" faces were funny. Great show. :)

That's what i want to know. Wasn't it even discussed by Lisa and Travis? Someone referred to Lawson as Sam's gopher rather than an equal. Has Sam turned on Lawson because of the whole Cat thing? Or is Lawson getting closer to Cat so Sam is gravitating towards Ryan? Did it only change this week? Things I'm sure we may never know the answer to.

Last night episode was a bit of an eye opener for me. I thought Lawson and Sam where tight and where running the house from the inside but now it seems that all along it's been Ryan. Ryan the Invisible has become Ryan the Machiavellian.

Could not agree with you more!!!

I never thought that Lawson was running the house. I thought it was just Sam.

I actually think that they are trying to get the impression that it's Lawson at the moment in order to take the heat off the three of them. Obviously Sam, Sandra and Ryan have the metaphorical "power" in the house, but Lawson is definitely the alpha-male, so if the three of them throw Lawson under the bus it means that they remain untouched.

I wonder if they will ever find out that Lawson cheated on his girlfriend in the Sanctuary with Cat? That could really set the cat amongst the pigeons.
