In Australia they follow the international format of not being allowed to discuss nominations.

Yes, but what you had said earlier seems to indicate that "all they need to do is cry before BB stops punishing them for this." If BB becomes permissive, I see the format changing at least this season.

Gotta say, this show is seemingly a hit in the UK on Twitter and also Tik Tok. Putting the episodes up on YouTube and the stream on TikTok is genius. With BBUK wrapping this week, it’ll probably just attract more attention to fill the void. It’s just a shame they can’t vote. Typically UK viewers rally behind the outsiders. It’s not really the same in Australia. I know they planned to only stream on TikTok for a few days but they really should keep it up.

Cheap seats is filmed 11 am QLD time, pretty much all the housemates were by the pool at that time yesterdayMel's doing her Cheap Seats live cross from the literal house...(thank god the HMs are occupied outside right now otherwise they'd probably hear her)
FYI, she mentions her dressing room is more or less directly attached to the side of the house. She referred to it a "toilet cubicle". lol

If you are old or aren't white you tend to go first.
I like this so far because 1. the daily shows are live and 2. its a bit unpredictable. I remember the live stream in 2005 when one HM said they were due for an intruder and 30 minutes later there was an intruder. People want a good novel story line.

- Overall marked improvement over yesterday.
- Music definitely needs to stop being used like this. We’re more than capable of feeling the moment without it.
- Podcast/Underwear boys need to be broken up. It’s annoying and extremely performative.
- Girls aside from Holly are definitely my favs. Alana is easily the most real person in the house. She’s very well positioned within the house and I hope she goes far. Mia and Emily getting some of the spotlight in this episode definitely helped improve things.
- Overall the show still has too much of a plastic vibe to it. The DR narration can have a place but interrupting conversations isn’t it.
- Please cut the intro package down to just tonight’s highlights and extend the titles.

With all the discussion about whether the nominations are going to be live. Housemates are about to nominate now, so the show tonight will not be live.

I suspect they'll nom this morning and then the editors will work to piece together a daily show narrative that sets up the noms result, then announce the nominations result to the house live. A bit like how they did it with the 2014 season.
They repeatedly said live nominations in the promotion. We all know what that was and from the recent rewatch it did kind of drag. I just wonder if the struggles they have had doing live shows means they have just given up on it.
Better put together show last night though the most to least task became very boring very quickly. A cameo from Mel at the beginning was quite welcome.
Not too surprised the actual nominations won't be live tonight but they've made a rod for their own back promoting them as such. Will make for a better produced show though.

It was better last night. I wish we could evict 99% of the men and bring in a fresh batch. Really good to hear more from Emily, who seems a good egg. Allana was my favourite once they got into the house because of her warm grounded manner. I really like Mia, who handled those two knobs with such patience. Abiola is good value. I can't stand the bobs twins. Holly's entitled and also bitch. I shouted at her during the Kitkat and snake segment. Coco I find dubious, but at least there is something to unpack there. I like Jane and her frank observations, shame about the Trumpism. Any one of the women on their own is a hundred times more interesting than this group of men. Conor seems a bit intelligent, but that's it. Vinnie is cute, so can stay, and has shown a good heart.

Listened to the ep while working so I wasn't paying full attention, but thoughts:
- They're going in hard with the music, kinda felt like a f-you to all the complaints we've been making lmao
- I'm pretty sure Bruce's claims that soy gave him tits has no real scientific basis, but go off sis
- Allana and Vinny got dealt shitty hands with having to rank the HMs in those categories, but Allana carried herself WAY more gracefully than Vinny. Yikes.
- Edward putting himself as the least memorable. It was accurate because I totally forgot about him until that moment lol. BUT he did it to support Mia, sooooo... I like him a little more now.
- Poor Mia. Bruce and Michael ganging up on her like that and then having the audacity to say SHE was the one goading them behind her back. Funny how the guys who just wanna have a ~healthy debate~ are the ones who get the most upset when somebody (god forbid a WOMAN) disagrees with them.
- Holly telling Abiola to shutup on the couch. I was like, girl I kinda agree, but you don't need to be such a bitch about it???
- The boys doing their podcast in bathroom was so performative. So much for not wanting influencers.
