Something I've noticed is a lot of the context behind so many of the HMs nominations (i.e. Vinnie vs Allana, and Conor always talking about how he's going to win) hasn't been aired outside of the live stream. We're missing so much background to this.

Yep, I think it was to deflect from what Holly said about her. Also Ed tells people what he thinks about them. So her characterisation is wrong.

Would be smarter to spread the votes as he knows most of the others will vote Vinnie.

But I am worried if the noms stay as Vinnie, Coco and Allana and its a double, think Vinnie might be in danger there.
