It amazes me that in 2025 we've reverted with technology and can only afford one handheld mic, when they used to have wireless earpieces and separate lapel mics for each person in the noughties.

They were actually headset microphones that was a new technology that BB was the first to use for live shows back in the day when Gretel started wearing them. I think at the time as well they cost a damn bomb, they were something like $30,000 a headset. Because they were so tiny, skin coloured and the range was greater.

I’m 99% sure they started being used in 2003 but could only find a decent image with her wearing one in 2004 and 2005 as the earliest.
Pretty wild to think back then they were so small.
