I still think they should’ve done a live launch, even though pre-recorded is tradition.
Starting off a season where the pre-season marketing was really emphasising the live aspect with a pre-recorded launch is… a decision. A one-off live launch just seems to make more sense to me.

Disagree. Live Launch episodes are almost always clumsy and clunky. We’ve had our one example here in 2003, but also overseas - they just don’t work imo. Plus it gives the show a chance to refine the back-and-forth of HMs entering the house, etc.
The only thing I would love to see live and unedited from a BB Launch is the HMs meeting each other and interacting for the first time. From a psychological and human behavioural standpoint, I find that the most interesting part about the first day in the house.

I once again campaign for the German model (or originally: Dutch model) where the live feed launches early, giving people a chance to see the housemates meeting each other live. And then having a live launch episode later on, which mainly consists of basically a daily show (e.g. the pre-recorded content) from the move-in and first day(s) followed by something that gives the whole thing a reason to be live (akin to Australia's live specials on the second night of the season).
Second choice for me would be pre-recorded launch.
Live-launch is the worst. You don't see much and the next day, you'll mainly get a recap from housemates moving in.
Alright so this BB wall is a social media advertising campaign with an eye mask on offer as a prize (and ~6% chance at live show tickets). I'm not sure whereabouts in Australia this pop event is, though. Probably somewhere in Brisbane or the Gold Coast?
