I dont see how a misogynist would have a female as a best friend? and be surrounded by his sisters and nieces and work in female related field. He probably went into the house to find himself and discovered male bonding which in the outside world none of them would want a bar of him, growing that beard was a big sign about how he felt about himself. So thats why I like him out of the rest there.

Regarding alpha males: it's someone who's strong mentally, a leader and looked up to. Someone who can gain people's respect because of their self confidence, their leadership skills and their strength ( mental - Altho physical's hot too)

I was not in David camp at all at the beginning, in fact I thought he just as vapid as the rest of them this year. ( my earlier posts validate this btw).

I warmed to him, when they showed airtime of HIS interactions with people, rather than people making fun of him.. which btw.. he took pretty well on the chin. He has opened up more and as such, his confidence has grown. Perhaps you don't "get" his humour but I do. It's a Irish thing...dry..witty and and sometimes, sarcastic. Frankly, I find him to be an absolute delight to watch and interact. He's so animated too..his eyes and expressions tell their own story in an oh so subtle way. Very expressive, rather than dead eyes. (crying is NOT a show of REAL emotion..you CAN fake a tear but you cannot feign a sparkle)

I don't believe David has ever claimed he's an alpha male as per your definition or at all actually. Has he? I reckon it's cool he has NOT defined himself in such a way. Your definition looks good on paper, but they are usually complete and utter wankstains in practice... emphasis on the wankstain..

Funny that. I know a few men who married females because they "loved" them and VOWED to cherish and protect them. Then they BEAT them. The fact that his bestie is a female is irrelevant.

That is a fucking stupid way to rationalise whether someone is a sexist douche or not.
Some of the most sexist misogynists are women towards women.
I never mentioned feminism in my post. David just has issues with women in general. It has been prevalent in his arguments in the house. Has he ever had an issue with a male like he does with the women? My post wasn't about David "going around hitting them" are you an idiot? Where do you even bring your arguments from?

I reckon alpha male may be the most over used word of this season of Big Brother.

I was just about to say the same thing. Women can also be sexist and misogynistic to women as well.
Eg: my ex boyfriends mum who told me I should expect my husband to leave me once I'm 50 for a woman half my age. It's how men are supposed to be, it makes them manly. I wanted her to fall off the earth.

And usually by those having no clue of the actual definition. ( from a psych perspective) I like to ask though to see where their understanding lies.
 
There has been 2 incidents that people have labeled him misogynist or woman hater, the spa incident with Lisa which had to do with her acting like a bitch in high school and him the nerd and the spa incident with Priya over the way she talks to him like a child. Nothing to do with the sex of either person.
