It came about in banter with Big Brother during a nominations session early on.

I have no argument. I have hesitated in stating my opinion prior, out of respect for his sisters. Now I have stated some of what I think, I am satisfied. But, really, what would be the point of me dragging up further references, when we do not agree on something as innocuous as how the self-title Strategy Dave came about.

JFC, this isn't even worth debating when you choose to go the route of diagnosing "small man syndrome". That is actually you being about as mean as you've convinced yourself he is.

Really? I think it is about much life experience with men and their compensatory mechanisms.

Well if you're really as concerned about not offending David's sisters as you say you are then maybe actually give specific examples of all the times he's apparently been a dick to women. That's a pretty nasty accusation to make, especially if you don't want to back it up with all of these specific examples to explain how you've come to that conclusion.

Jokes. I never really warmed to him. But if it is him against Skye or Travis, I hope he stays.
 
I'm not even going to read this thread, the title is ridiculous. But do you think Tim talking to him may have been a detremint or a good thing? Yeah he shaved his beard off which prob kept him in from fickle voters who judge on appearance but they mentioned he goes to the DR a lot and I reckon Tim told him to do that because 1) There's a good chance you will make the show as its easy footage to edit 2) the closer you become to BB and the crew the less likely they will give you a shit edit because they like you.

I think he needs to tone it down a bit because Australia is famous for tall poppy syndrome but again it could just be the edit of what they choose to show out of a 24 hour or in this case this year 3 days worth of footage to skew a storyline.
 
"strategy Dave" came out after he had his beard chopped, a bit after he had resolve the Lisa thing and Tim Dorner had entered, he was talking to one of the housemates, can't remember who, about strategising. Following that, it appears that he talked to a whole lot of other housemates about the same thing (which we didn't see much of), and the other housemates then came to the conclusion that he was being blatantly strategic. I think they nominated him for a similar reason as well lol. That's how I recall him getting this title.

He would've been booted out the house if he didn't shave. The shave gave him a 2.0, he was in a lot of trouble with the public and housemates back then.
 
He's probably the one with the biggest transformation in the house. He went in a skinny, pasty white dude with a terrorist beard and now he's a buff, tanned, going to stereosonic guy.

And this friends, is what's known as a truthbomb. Since shaving David has gone stratospheric in his epicness, and has the others now quaking in their boots. Maybe that was "the plan" all along, and he's "played" us all. He probably conspired it, in it's entirety, with Tim that night in the sank. Welcome to the game.

When has he behaved poorly towards women? The Lisa incident was actually Travis and David copped it all and not once did he even try and blame Travis.

And every guy I know who has short man syndrome, they have an over-flated ego and are arrogant idiots, not treating women poorly. So I really don't get your argument at all.
 
His problem was he tried to fit in too hard with the groups. Now he's settled in the house he's just being himself and not trying to be anything and saying stuff how it is. I don't think its ego as he would have it to begin with but it's just a comfortability in himself now that he is being real with his friends and taking the piss but also knows he's still in a game and those people are competition.
