Now it's time to take a look at what was happening in Sun Hill on the 2nd of July 2002 (UK airdate). The Bill has now turned into a soapie and episode titles are no more. This is the 22nd episode in the soapie format. This episode marks the return of PC Luke Ashton from a 3 year break. Who is about to realise he is gay and has an affair with Sgt. Craig Gilmore. I think this was the first time I saw a "gay" storyline on a TV show. This episode is a fond memory for me because Sgt. Gilmore catches PC Ashton in the shower! Ooooh La La!
