Copies of BB1?

Well I have the BB01 Starlight Foundation Charity Pantomime (sp?) on VHS. It'll take me a long time to convert onto DVD and then onto my computer but I can attempt it... :)

VHS format is fine I would just play it on my VHS recorder into my computer. :)

But hey if you are all serious then I would accept any VHS tapes. :)

If anyone is willing to send me copies (I will pay for tapes/postage), I have the computing power to convert to xvid, and unlimited uploads (100k/sec). Would be quite happy to seed. PM me if you can help.

Well, considering I'm only 15 I don't think my mum would agree with me sending something off to somebody I don't know :p, but I can upload it to my computer (it'll just take a longer process) and send it to you via email or PM? If that's okay, and I would understand if it's not (I don't really get how all this stuff with Bittorrent and whatnot works :D), I can get it done by the end of the week? What format should I upload in, WMV or AVI or something... ? I don't know if I can do XVID - don't think so.

Just trying to be helpful. :o

There is a web site for the National Sound and Video Archive where I think it says they have every episode.

I don't know how you get it (or who you have to be).

Does anyone out there have copies of BB1 on vid or better still captured as xvid?

I would love to watch that series again and apparently (according to the interview with Peter on BBBA radio) 10 has wipes all tapes of it.. :(

There was a VHS release best of Big Brother.. try and find it!!

They NFSA have some of it, although there are restriction on who can access the content.

Check here: http://colsearch.nfsa.afc.gov.au/nf...her Media:"TELEVISION";querytype=;resCount=10

"We are unable to provide copies or loans of collection items for personal use, unless a direct personal connection such as an appearance or performance by a family member can be shown. Of course, it is still possible for clients to access material onsite." (http://www.nfsa.afc.gov.au/Screenso...2B060CC905E53AD6CA256B5E0023C09D?OpenDocument)

I don't think anyone has got xvid caps of CBB out there.. maybe you should take up Adsman on his offer :) (I don't think there are xvids of bb2 out there either)

Wow!! :p That's pretty cool, considering BB03 was one of the best seasons and CBB is really rare to come by nowadays.

Note, I've just finished putting the BB01 Starlight Challenge onto DVD (it 1 hour and 30 minutes). I'll try to have it uploaded to the computer by the end of the week, no guarentees though, and then I'll send it off to somebody that can put it into XVID and then to Bittorrent or Big Brother Binaries or something. For those that don't know, at the end of Big Brother 2001, the winner, Ben, organized a charity pantomime where all the housemates - plus loads of celebrities - participated in a play to raise money for children at the Starlight Foundation. It's definitely worth the watch and for everyone who has seen the actual series 1 will recognize the many references to various incidents from the season during the play. Even Gretel takes part - and she's very enthusiastic too! It's pretty good, overall. Rove McManus and Bert Newton host the special. :)

Cool! Excellent work :) Thanks so much for doing that!

bb2 onwards are out there

it's just bb1 which is scarce - but there is something in the works if you know where to look - i would suggest keeping an eye around after this season because you may well find what you want

I don't have any full episodes, but I do have the music video which has highlights. It's about four minutes long. I had it uploaded on YouTube, but my account was suspended, I could upload it again if anyone wants it.

PM me if you Have Any series. Depending on Cost, I will pay for Postage.

The Theorist... love your avatar haha, funny and disturbing at the same time.

I got the music video off youtube while it was there. It's really very good, I don't usually like those dodgy music videos you see, but the highlights are well done.

Still, it is only a music video and still only 4 minutes. It would likely pale in comparison to an actual episode.

Really? Never seen CBB out there and I've seen bb02 out there but as wmv files and not avi :(

Could you send me a pm please to give me a idea of where to look to see if I'm looking in the right direction :) Thank you.

I'm so sure I read somewhere they don't keep the tapes of the show - that it all gets wiped. At least I remember reading they taped BB2 over BB1.

I've got a mate who works at BB and in the Tapes Library they have all the 'master' tapes from Seasons 1-6 (ie the actual television shows they put to air and other bits and pieces like graphics etc) and then all the tapes from this year (ie not just the shows, but the raw footage as well).

I've got all of season 1, except for maybe 5 daily shows. Something like 20 videotapes. My then 12yo daughter insisted on taping them all (we also went to the first ever eviction - of Andi). The tickets were free!!! :O
