Are all the episodes on that tape incorrect/unfinished?
Someone should direct them to the Dailymotion uploads, perhaps they can pinch the narration audio from there and edit it in.
Although they'd probably just DMCA them. Perhaps just send them the ep in question.

I really hate how green the backyard was in 02, it was overstimulating. The 01 backyard had a lot going on but was the superior design.

I think Iirc inherited my Mum's Nokia style phone in 2004 when she got a flip phone which were the then current in thing at the time before Iphones in 2007. You know the T9 typing style ones as well you' have to press the key ore than once for that letter or hold it and it might've had predictive text as well on that or the flip phones with the colour and GUI screens came in maybe.Interesting even in S2 they still only had phone voting and no SMS option.
I think SMS voting came in more the following year, Did Idol's first season in 2003 have SMS voting as well? EDIT: yep I just went and searched for one of Guy Sebastian's performances, it had SMS Guy to blbla or Call blahblah.
Also, the Official website in 2002 was on IPrimus, remember that.

I won’t lie, rewatching season 1 for 8 hours a day felt relatively effortless, season 2 is not proving to be a similar experience. I just can’t really get behind any of the housemates bar for Jess and Turkan, they’re just not interesting people and are wayyyy too aware of the cameras and popularity the show had after 2001. It was always going to be hard to top 2001 but 2002 is just plain boring, I don’t really want any of these people to win

Yep I feel the same. I’m enjoying it somewhat for the nostalgia but it’s not as compelling and just generally not that good. I’m not sure how they got it so wrong. A few lasting media careers but take away Jess and Marty and it’s extremely forgettable.
Last weekend brought me so much joy! This is just not hitting the same mark.
I’m gonna throw a curveball and say it was by no means a great run, but… in the grand scheme of things - for what they were and for all the limitations they had to work with - I think all three of Nine’s seasons are actually kinda decent… 2013 is probably up there with one of the best BBAU seasons ever, imo. A lot of the problems that plagued that era had more to do with production and Nine’s treatment of the show, especially towards the end, rather than what the actual in-house producers were trying to achieve. Again, not great but not that bad.I think Nine's season with the performances like Oats a la Layla was even worse.
I thought this when I rewatched them back-to-back during Covid lockdowns, but I stand by the sentiment even more now knowing what happened when Seven took the reigns.
Also, there were “performances” and catchy tunes in Ten’s era too, so it wasn’t really just a Nine thing.
(Great, now I have Oats A Layla stuck in my head……..)

Actually thinking back I think I got my own Nokia around end of 2003 ish and then got Mum's flip phone around 2006 until I got another keyboard phone in '08 then an IPhone in 2010. Anyways.I think Iirc inherited my Mum's Nokia style phone in 2004 when she got a flip phone which were the then current in thing at the time before Iphones in 2007. As for this season, at the time even if you weren't invested in the Marty and Jess Showmance I recall thinking (and I was 14 at the time mind) Jess' was a comic relief character of Season 2 comparable to Sara Marie with her kinda rough ditziness if you could call it that and crap nominations etc. That it was as shocking to me that she got evicted when she did, plus it being a full week before the same point for Sara Marie the year before.

Yeah 2013 was actually a great season! And not watching it live helps you forget about the lack of live streams etc. 2012 was pretty good too but 2014 was rubbish.

I see a lot of hate here for oats ala Layla, I personally liked it. I love watching the housemates create their own fun and inside jokes and then the audience reacting to it and claiming part of it. Sara-Marie’s eviction episode really highlights all of that for me, as we see many fans with signs and screaming out “and thennnn” and “Hercules Hercules”.

Yeah I'm pretty sure I remember a Kitchen utensils spontaneous jam session from BB02 even. Also those two sound like they were probably references from movies Dude Wheres My Car (2000), and The Nutty Professor Eddie Murphy movies (1996 & 2000). Haha.Sara-Marie’s eviction episode really highlights all of that for me, as we see many fans with signs and screaming out “and thennnn” and “Hercules Hercules”.
