They’re not. It’s been stated many times already, there were additional things that needed to be reviewed by the show’s legal team in order to clear it for streaming first.

All seasons required this but it was implied they were taking extra precaution for CBB due to it including public personalities (many of whom are still in the media today). They needed approval from the celebrities involved to “re-air” it, especially those who had controversies during the season (i.e. presumably Warwick Capper and Molly Meldrum) and it was heavily hinted by BBAU’s social team that they reached out to Adriana’s family to use her image, out of respect, as she’s since passed away. So they’re only doing their legal and moral due diligence.

They stated on multiple occasions that the episodes were already digitised and, if all goes to plan and the series is cleared for replay, they intend to upload it in “early 2026”. Whether that actually comes to fruition is a different story.

I’ve been one of the most vocal about getting this season released eventually, but the main civilian seasons was and is their main priority.

I remember the Warwick Capper incident, but what was the Molly Meldrum controversy? Refresh my memory.
