There are three light switches outside a closed room. Only one switch is connected to a light bulb inside the room.
Each of the three switches can be either 'ON' or 'OFF'.
You are allowed to set each switch the way you want and then enter the room but you can only enter the room once.
How do you determine which switch controls the light bulb ??

Answer....
Before entering the room turn 'ON' let’s say the first 2 of the 3 light switches, leaving the 3rd switch 'OFF' and wait for a minute or two.
Turn the 1st light switch 'OFF' leaving only the 2nd switch 'ON' and enter the room.
If the light is on…. Yes, switch 2 is the answer
If not… touch the light globe and if warm…. switch 1 is the answer
If not… yep you got it…. Switch 3 is the answer.
...the paragraph below is very unusual... can you figure out what is so unusual about it?
...it took me a while to figure it out but I eventually did... cheers.
"Gatsby was walking back from a visit down in Branton Hill's manufacturing district on a Saturday night. A busy day's traffic had its noisy run; and with not many folks in sight, His Honor got along without having to stop to grasp a hand, or talk; for a mayor out of City Hall is a shining mark for any politician. And so, coming to Broadway, a booming bass drum and sounds of singing, told of a small Salvation Army unit carrying on amidst Broadway's night shopping crowds. Gatsby , walking towards that group, saw a youg girl, back toward him, just finishing a long, soulful oration ... "
The above passage is taken from the book "Gatsby" written by Ernest Vincent Wright in the late 1930s.
