Big Brother teased in new Channel 10 2025 promo

And didn't they end up cutting down episodes to 4 nights a week, though I think a 5th might have been on GO!

Seems to be just the intros from each season’s Launch episode, rather than unheard instrumentals or full extended cuts of each theme (which I think we were half expecting it to be, based on what the social media team had mentioned).

Also the 2008 edit in this clip is weirdly chopped up and mashed with the Daily Show version (there were two iterations this year).

Kudos to their efforts though, it would've been nice to have the full instrumental versions of each but sadly I'm convinced they're lost. The best we have been given so far is the 2005 stems, which they could've edited into the 05-07 titles. In saying that most of the masters almost have the full eye animations when going to ad breaks, I might edit them all together one day.

The 2003 instrumental is already posted in the playlist, and they’ve publicly said the 2004 is coming with that respective playlist (apparently they told someone in the chat the plan was to release it in the compilation to get it out quicker, as the 2003 episode uploads are taking a while). 2005 has already been released via the stems, and the 2008 full instrumental did exist at least at some point as it was on YouTube for years a while ago. So they do have them.
 
Oh god this extremely annoying. Since yeah, they had said it chat they would compilation up the clean tracks and then just do individual videos for the playlists later on.

At least they're about 2/3rds of the way through the 2003 uploads, so the missing 2004 theme shouldn't be too far away.

Ohhh, nice. I vaguely remember them saying they were told specifically to upload 03 daily all the way up to the launch of this year's season. But surely they'll just upload all of the seasons once 03 is up? Or will they drop feed them as well 😭

I’d say drop feed, based on what they’ve said. For some reason their bosses didn’t like everything being uploaded at once, so 🤷‍♂️
 
It’s strange they’re drop feeding. They must all be in their own separate files at this point. They probably capped them in a common file format simply to make it easier to upload.

Also strange to me that certain edit material, like the themes, are possibly MIA. Someone somewhere has the drives or the source material. Even after a show is axed it’s typical for that material to be archived. Given how the betacam tapes were supposedly stored all those years, I guess it doesn’t surprise me.

It's also possible that the videos (either all of them or up to a certain point) have been uploaded but are waiting to be released.
 
If they are going to cram a series into 4 weeks, its just about dead on arrival. It takes me a fortnight to decide if I like someone. Is Mr Stickyfingers still around, a very talented artist and contributor.
 
I don't have a cap, but I just saw a new promo where Mel was in Big Brother's DMs asking him if she can watch a live stream this year, and he replied that you can watch the live stream 24/7 on Ten. It had a DM graphic, but was fully voiced by both Mel and Leon. I think it also had that "Bad Guy" backing track.

Edit: I'm not 100% sure if I misheard the Ten bit as them promoing the channel the show is going to be on, I'd have to watch again.

Ooh! There’s been a few new short ads popping up lately. There’s a new version of the Coming Soon bumper with the date, short variants of the Leon promo and tonight a Mel themed “Game On Moles” Ten outro bumper aired.

Which city are you in @bradnak? Did it air during Amazing Race?

Given that 10play is now just 10 that could be exactly what you heard. But it doesn't clarify whether it's a FAST channel (like a multichannel) or web/app only. Would be great if it's a FAST channel, so easy to flick on the TV and have running all day. Won't take long to find out.

I think the reason is that the higher-ups were expecting more views for the episodes, so now they try and chase the algorithm and do what so many people recommend to "make the algorithm love you". Regular upload schedules, edited thumbnails to catch attention, etc. They could probably still do more of these tricks that everyone recommends.

I've used to do this for a living. It was probably one of the most ungrateful jobs that I've had.. because some people act like you can turn any shit to gold on YouTube if you just follow some rules to please the algorithm, then the higher-ups will ignore your hands-on experience and put pressure on you because you just need to follow simple instructions yada yada yada. but at the end of the day, what people recommend is bullshit. It's nothing else than voodoo.

I could rant about it for ages about all those "We'll triple your views on YouTube, just have a look what we've done with the official Formula One YouTube channel which is clearly just successful because we know how the YouTube algorithm works and absolutely not because it's such a big brand that will always find its viewers".

But it's clear that the current strategy is not working for the BBAU channel. They're not getting more views on the videos for season 3. And nobody will watch one video a day of a show that hasn't a huge replay value for most people outside of nostalgia. You just won't get 100K or even 10K views. It's just not happening.
