Big Brother House Left To Rot

Yeah it was one thing to see it stripped and abandoned by Nine (as you'd expect) but it's something else to see it trashed by vandals. Doesn't it belong to Coomera Town Centre now? Why haven't they bulldozed it? By leaving it like that they are just asking for trouble. Seeing it like that I am surprised nobody has torched it.

Coomera Town Centre (Westfield) opened last year. It's on the opposite side of Foxwell Road, directly next to the train station.

I swear they are priming this up for a BB/Block mash up.

Some producer would think it a great idea and over produce it to death cos they have no idea what we actually do want to watch when it comes to BB, and it will be a complete disaster. Again.

Seems like heaps of news sites are picking up this breaking development on the big brother house.

which probably means that there are lots of journalists who are inexplicably fans of the foolish hobby of urban exploration.

That project has several phases. Back prior to Nines revival plans called for an entertainment/shopping district to be built leading up to an entrance to Dreamworld. It would have been something similar to Downtown Disney/Disney Springs.

Any word on that potential fire? Was it the house or just a brush fire somewhere in the surrounding area?

Big Brother house fire: Building 'deliberately' set alight by vandals
Monday, 27 May 2019 12:31 pm

The Big Brother Australia house is still standing after allegedly being deliberately lit over the weekend.

Fire crews were called to bushland near the structure, tucked away near Gold Coast's Dreamworld amusement park, at 2.20pm on Sunday.

Firefighters had the blaze under control within 10 minutes of arriving and say the cause is not known.
Queensland's fire service said the house was not damaged in the fire.

However, a spokesperson for the Queensland Investment Corporation, which owns the property, told 7NEWS.com.au the fire was deliberately lit at the property.

Video taken by YouTube user Urban Gypsy reportedly shows smoke from the fire billowing into the sky.
The blaze comes only days after new video shows the former reality TV haven in tatters.
