Big Brother Giving The Housemates Too Much Booze?

That is the accusation made today by one of Lawson's friends, a guy named Claxton(interview in this week's TV WEEK).
In other words, according to Claxton, alcohol had a lot to do with Lawson's actions in regards to Cat on 2 occasions, ie. the Friday night party nights.
What do you think of this?
My impression is that there is actually far less grog in the Big Brother house this year. During the Channel 10 years, the housemates got plastered quite regularly. For example, I can recall in 2005, Logan Greg and Tim Brunero getting completely wasted one night.
 
haha! When Chris was asked before this season why the HMs aren't given MORE alcohol he said it's because no one wants to see a bunch of stumbling, slurring idiots on tv that you can barely understand speak so they purposely limit how much they're given. Claxton needs to stop speaking to the media and making excuses for his mate because each time he does, it only makes both Lawson and himself look worse.
 
From what i can tell the HMs get s small amount of beer or wine on everyday beside Friday, then on Friday the HMs must get larger amount.

In the old days I remember the HMs would be give lots and lots of grog, I remember seeing a plastic storage container filled with beer and vodka cruisers.

I'm just glad that Big Brother has given the housemates enough alcohol over the weeks that we have seen Lawson make a fool of himself about three times.
 
If Lawson can't handle his alcohol, he shouldn't drink. He's old enough to be able to control himself and know what his limits are.

Everything he has done in the house has been his decision. He chose to kiss Cat, chose to go into the sanctuary with her and he chose to drink last Friday night.

Haha! I read or watched somewhere Tim Dormer saying last year he got wasted one night off red wine and vomited all over the walls in the toilet and they couldn't get the stains out. He said you could still see the stains when people were doing the house tours.

His friend is just trying to make excuses for Lawson's actions.

Alcohol doesn't make people do something that they wouldn't normal do.

In fact alcohol really shows what your personality is really like.
