Rewatch Big Brother 2007 YouTube stream (10-12 Oct & 17-19 Oct)

Emma treated them very poorly though. I’m not surprised they still have feelings about that. It’s like the popular girl at school who thought others were beneath her. It was a hard watch at the time with the cool kids vs. the nerds.
Totally, I get that. But they’re also being hypocritical, and some of the language being used by a couple of them in the chat is just as bad, which is in turn encouraging other viewers to do the same (and it’s not being called out by the BB social team).

I understand they lived it so have a unique stand on it. But it goes both ways. Especially almost 20 years later.

In S6 the first few evictees didn't even get a scooter did they? So if they'd been paying attention they should have realised the cars were no longer guaranteed.

Apparently she had never watched the show or knew anything about it. But then somehow still knew they previously got cars. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Think it’s safe to say the regulars in the chat are a different typeset of Big Brother fan. Not a criticism, just not the same level. The way they absolutely came for people like @matts bb and @Zcsund1234 who, on separate occasions several seasons ago, both tried to contribute actual decent/informative conversation, and were attacked for it, set the tone.

So it’s no wonder it’s the perfect place for ex HMs like the Susannah’s and Jamie’s to have their egos stroked.

Most of us here don’t engage there as much as we could for a reason.

I really like watching Susannah and have always said this even if not a widely held opinion, but the bits I saw of her in the chat she seemed really annoying? But maybe just some jokes didn’t translate well in text or people asked her silly questions. Her vibe seemed quite off.

Hmm. I mean, to an extent. I think especially at this stage they’d come a long way since 2001, it’s not implausible to believe that (as long they weren’t gonna go batshit crazy*) they’d be unethethical by going ahead and put someone in who was teetering on the edge, purely for sadistic entertainment. After all, it is a reality television show.

All you gotta do is look at what they attempted to do to Kate with the baby task to know where the producer’s heads were at by this season.

*I mean, TJ got pretty close to going on a murder spree hahaha

On that, Laura followed up with: “There's no way I should have been in there, I got violent when i drank, it was lucky that didn't happen in there

From memory, we’re not far away in the stream from seeing signs of this. Right? Didn’t she get extremely drunk, took all those selfies and got borderline scary?

Oh, for sure, I'd have no trouble believing that by this point they'd be willing to take a more relaxed view on the psych evaluations. I just have trouble believing they'd admit it to a housemate/ex-housemate.

The BB social team are avoiding questions about the Mexican-themed FNL episode that will stream next weekend. Someone asked about it - but the only response was telling the person off for spoilers and they ignored the part about whether it’ll be shown, edited out or the entire episode skipped.

I bet they didn’t even realise there was a controversy over that episode.

I actually back this statement in. From what I've heard, a lot of these "psych tests" aren't necessarily about "passing" or "failing". Sure there's a level of psychological risk they won't take, but a lot of the time they're looking for people who are riiiiiiight on the border of failing.

Either her personality changed a bit as she aged (my sister for instance was a very naive, chill person 20 years ago, and now she's more assertive), or in the house she was not being her true self. Both can be true at the same time.

Anyway, I still like her. She was adorable.

Agreed, look at Racheal from 2005. She should have never been allowed in that house

Yes true not really fair to compare her personality then Vs now. I do still like her a lot, don’t worry. She was just a bit of a try hard from the parts I saw.

Women do become more assertive as they get older and it’s the best!

Susannah in the chat: “I watch this and I'm getting fired up but then i remember it was EIGHTEEN YEARS AGO CHILL SUSIE

Laura: “Yeah we've all grown up since then, but it's crazy watching this back as it brings back beef. It’s hard to describe

TJ: “Not me lol LONG LIVE the beef! haha jks […] time for me to bail to bed BB fam - but one last thing before I go..... FUCK EMMA #longlivethebeef

Classy.

Love how this cast are giving in the chat. Think it's all with a healthy bit of humour too.
The only thing I remember about Emma is that she seemed to have a sour look on her face all the time. But I don't think she did anything that would still have some of her fellow housemates seething with hatred eighteen years later.
Yes, the only thing I remember about her is her dad dying. Maybe more happened post-show than within it.
