Big Brother 2005 on official YouTube channel (Live streamed Sept 12-14 + Sept 19-21)

Gretel mentioned in the premiere that he was single when he auditioned but got in to a relationship during the casting process. The difference was that he didn’t lie.

Cheers.

So when he applied, he was single. Met someone during the process.

They did show a clip of him after he'd met her on camera saying he was single, very clearly seemed like he was lying. They probably dug that up after the decision to let him stay.

It is funny to think how at those ages people consider dating someone for a few weeks to be a serious relationship. Apparently, he married her, so good for them I guess.

Why did Dean get to stay despite having lied about being in a relationship and the others who did so booted?
That initial three ‘liars eviction’ was put to a public vote also for the public to decide two of them to be evicted, so Dean could very well have gone in that right at the beginning and we could’ve had either Nelson or Constance stay on for however long they potentially could’ve lasted.

I feel like if they really cared they would have just replaced Dean when they found out. Maybe they deemed him a great HM and integral to their plan but still suggests they actually were ok with it.

I've always thought the only reason all three of the liars weren't evicted is that they didn't have three people willing to go in as replacements and could only get Rachel/Vesna. I assume at that point their alternates had been advised to return to their lives.

It was a revenue raising exercise by Big Brother, anytime they fire up the voting lines it’s an effort to make money.

The difference with Dean was that he fessed up the day before he went into the house, by which stage it was too late. So he could at least say "I was honest" whereas the other two bullshitted their way in and then bragged about it in front of the cameras.

And as for the revenue raising aspect, they probably brainstormed how to make news of it all. Turning their lemons into special event lemonade.

Lachlan has gone past commentating what he sees on screen, he’s now gone as far to flat out copy other people’s messages in the chat.

Really goes to show how there was nothing going on for this season after the Logan stunt ended up falling flat on its face in week 1, they were probably scrambling for anything to try and generate a storyline..

Confirmed in the chat that the the "mod" is from the Production side and not Network.

Some updates from the YouTube team:

BB: “Best moments compilations can come once we have digital versions for all seasons, we were able to do it early for the house tours but everything else will take longer … we will also need to focus on promoting the new season soon but can always come back and give the archive love in the off seasons

BB: “We are from production side not the network so can't comment on any plans from 10
