Big Brother 2003 on official YouTube channel (Live streamed Aug 15-17 + 22-24)

Wasn’t it 2006 when they went HD?
Yeah I'm not sure. 🤣

ETA: Seems you're right, according to a Whirlpool post from 2006 "I hear very strong rumours that this year's Big Brother will be entirely in High Definition. Those fond of screen caps of the thing will be WELL pleased :-D"

Wow, thanks. Few looking a bit different.

I wonder why Reg didn't mention Dan in the little video though. You can make out thats who Chrissie is talking to.

Interesting that the ones who didn't make it were Irena, Carlo and Jamie. Jamie being the intruder (but Kim made it) and Irena and Carlo not there for the house merge.

Some have not age well

Couple of round up from things I was meaning to quote haha
That's arguably the most important episode of the series. What I really liked about it compared to the Secret Story clip posted earlier is how it wasn't produced - they just removed it overnight and let HMs discover themselves. Obviously they knew it was probably happening due to being locked in the bedrooms and the noise but still it felt more natural than stage managed.
Iirc Didnt Reggie say something like they put on a DVD of Spiderman (2002) for them while all the wall was being removed or something LOL. Also with them still having books (BBUK4 (2003) was also the last they allowed books as additional reading materials)
Ooh I forgot Belinda was the first one to leave on her own accord. I googled apparently it was because her sister was apart of a gay murder?! Is that true.
That happened (Belinda telling the others about it) while Carlo was still in the house (I think it was the week he left (Wk 3)), but She walked on Day 31 during week 5 because of having a hard time with Ben. (The iconic moment where Chrissie has a go at Ben comes from this). They were both nominated that week and if Belinda had stayed, Ben would've likely still gone unless Belinda leaving mid week if she would've swung any more votes still being there (73% of the vote out of FIVE nominees, everyone else getting single digit %) and maybe she could've picked herself back up but yeah.

Yeah Gretel's fashion was interesting from time to time. Haha. The Blonde look from 05 Launch and the Beehive hair + Pantsuit from the 2006 Launch are coming up.

Hmm yes good point. Will be a long marathon but at least with FNL it will give me some respite where I can feel confident I’m not missing much.
Remember that FNL was just Fitzy, Mike and Bree in the studio for 2005 wasnt it. IIRC when they moved it to the stage in 2006 with the Audience + sometimes the week's evictee and extra stuff is when it started getting a bit more padded and dragged out, I think they had a few more chatty bits whilst the next game was being set up etc.

I find it genuinely depressing to see the HMs have aged. It is of course expected after so long and it’s not even that they look bad, just a reminder of the passage of time.

I’m wondering if they’d even show FNL, idk if anyone has recently gone back and watched any of the games but the jokes that were made during FNL have aged incredibly poorly, blatantly racist, sexist and culturally insensitive, as well as questionable comments made about the queer and trans communities.

I remember there was a Mexican themed episode that had to be pulled and apologised for because one of the tasks had them dragging the flag through the dirt or mud 🙃

The jokes were often incredibly offensive and insenitive at the time too - no benefit of hindsight needed. We were calling it out in real time. I think the challenge throwing food at the flag of Mexico was the low point - that's the night I put in my hardest shift for BBBA!

Ten should just burn the tapes and pretend it never existed - convince the entire viewership they imagined it and it was some kind of distopian nightmare.

If @BigKevin can remove the visuals too it might be perfectly watchable.
Well I tried another episode and it was sooooo boring, I just couldn't. It had an Asian theme, so yeah I think this shit should be left in the vault, if not dragged out into 10's back lane and set on fire.
