Rewatch Big Brother 2001 YouTube stream (Aug 1-3)

Reached the final week now so the final should be in around a coupleof hours. Still find it odd they didn't switch to "Vote to Win" for the final week.
 
They seem to have an extra half hour looking at the possible pairings for the final.

Back to the earlier conversation about ages always thought Ben and Sara-Marie were a few years older than Blair but there was 2 years between the three of them. Do think young adults were much more grown up a quarter of a century ago.

I think I am slightly older/ or about the same age than them all and I don't think I realised that at the time. I would have thought they were older than me.
 
Does anyone remember the special that aired after the finale? The BB YT chat said back before the stream even started, that they're uploading a show (or 2) that aired post BB.

There was a live after party show that ran for like half an hour and then there was a “life in the real world” special that followed Johnnie’s eviction and checked in on what the housemates got up to when they left the house
 
I had totally forgotten. It was a final three for the last week and then a final two for 24 hours. They haven’t done anything like that for a long time.

If this upcoming new season is really just four or five weeks, I hope they have a longer season already locked in for 2026!
 
Watching back is a trip with the ages. Maybe because they were so much older than me and so I still sort of view them as such.

I will forever feel closer in age to Krystal at the time than I ever will Karen.

Life in the Real World is the one they were referring to, should be up next I assume.

He never seemed that.. bright? His facial expressions always seemed quite vacant and never really had conversations that were super in-depth.

I imagine he won because he was agreeable and a bit meat-heady, just an approachable guy you would find at a local pub.
