Best season of bbau?

Hey guys,
I want to watch a past season of bbau (because I'm bored of this current season).
In your opinion what's a good season to watch?

I want controversy, good content and entertaining housemates.

Any suggestions?

Yeah, the early ones were good. I think last year hed a great cast, and if you ignore the stunts, like the marriages, it had some good rivalries and battles. And also, you will hear it referenced here all the time.

People only like it a lot because it was just last year's and some are still not over it. It's a 'time bias' against the earlier seasons of BB.

I think it is the best of the ch9 seasons. Less nasty than 2012, (which I only watched after I'd seen 2013), and just way better then this year.

Tim Brunero is my favourite bbau contestant ever, but, as I said, all of those early seasons have their moments and their flavours. 2003 and 2005 are my favourites.

If that were true people would've been saying of that of the 2012 season at the start of 2013 and you and I both know that was far from being case. 2012 was universally panned as the most vile cast ever assembled in BB AU history and no matter how much you protest to the contrary will change that.

Vileness makes Big Brother.

Do you want bunch of angels cast for the show? Fair enough then...

I was only disputing your claim that the most recent season is remembered as the best.
Well, the thing that bothers me is the fact that 2013 is rated immensely higher than 2006-05-04-03 seasons in the polls here. I mean, the ratio is crazy.

I just don't buy it. Have these people forgotten about the glory days of BB? Where they too young back then or what? :cautious:

Yeah, I kinda look at 2003-05 as BB's "Golden Age."

03 had some great characters like Dan, Chrissie and the fabulous Reggie.
04 had a great stirrer in Paul, and for me Ryan (Fitzy) and Trevor were the funniest BB double act ever (anyone remember "Rootman?")
05 had a bunch of hook ups and controversies (housemates lying to BB, Michael whipping "it" out, love rat Glenn etc.) but also great characters like Vesna and my all-time fave Tim Brunero.

Ah, the good old days...
:)

Age could definitely be a factor, I think, as I've seen quite a few people post here that they were too young to remember the older seasons, as well as some people saying that they simply started watching the show when it was revived on Nine with age not being a factor.

None of the last 3 Channel 9 produced "babyfied" seasons would even come inside the top 5(Maybe last year might make #6 purely because of Tully and Drew).

Best season for me was 2006. So many controversies....and Camilla!!!!!!

Worst season is this one(purely down to the manufacturedness of the whole thing by Ch9), followed closely by the final BB on channel 10 where that old lady won.
