Ben fans should realize Michael is his downfall

Ben has become the 'fall guy' for all the bitching in the house as orchestrated by Michael.

You can tell Michael is realizing that the Layla-Estelle-Sam trio are getting more and more untouchable and the perfect way to stay in the game is to start picking off his own friends. He puts thoughts in other people's heads, gets them all worked up and emotional and then sits back and watches the chaos. and even though he's been way way worse than Ben, Ben has now taken the fall and gotten all the nomination points while Michael has gone COMPLETELY under the radar.

I actually feel sorry for Ben because I think he's far more genuine than others in the clique and is aware of his flaws and wants to be a good person but his emotions take over and then he gets nasty. Michael is just slime. He is currently getting the invisible edit and will cruise through to the finale while Ben is 'the bitch who is responsible for the divide' and gets an early 'shock eviction'. If Ben fans are smart, they'll start targeting Michael. He is a bigger threat than Layla or Estelle.
 
I've thought this for ages.

Michael usually starts by making a snide comment, opening the way for the others to contribute with their own bitchy comments. Ben is easily stirred so off he goes, squawking away like a demented fucking energiser bunny while Michael, content with his fiendish creation, slinks backwards in a cloud of dark smoke into his evil mega-mind lair, chuckling in satisfaction and rubbing his hands in glee.

It was my first thought last night as soon as the nominations had finished. Realising Michael had hardly any votes and Ben the most, I realised that Michael is indeed quite bright by targeting his own group. I think the Sam, Layla and Estelle fans should realise how important he is to keep their group in the house while Michael will continue to target his own group. :) Just a shame that Ben is so highly reactive to what Michael tells him.
 
Yep, Michael is far slyer and more subtly manipulative than Ben could ever hope to be.
Unfortunately he will win.
 
Yes, it's a shame Josh went in a way, because he was the one who Michael was bitching with before, now he's taking Ben and Stacey down with him instead. Remember a few weeks ago we were talking about Michael and Ben as rival alphas, going head to head? Celebrating when Ben took Michael down a peg or two in the bathroom? Now Ben is seen as being an ally of Michael's. :(
 
Estelle's friend was on to him. Guess his remarks about Estelle are noted by those who care for her.

In my opinion- Ben's comments are more gossipy and snide- Michael's are quite nasty- and I believe designed to set Ben off. Would love to document them and compare them.
 
They're both as bad as each other, and they feed off each other....sometimes it's Ben and sometimes it's Michael and don't forget their lapdog Stacey.
Ben's attempting to make peace with Estelle (and maybe actually keep peace for a few days!!) would help him.

That is excatly how I feel about Michael. He keep insisting that there is this 'us against them' team. It started way back at the start, when he was in the Captain's Quarters with Zoe. He listed the people that was in his group and in the other group, all those people in the other group have left very early with the exception of Estelle. I remember he would nominate them and when would be evicted he would then go in the Dairy Room 'feeling' guilty that the person got evicted, all for show for the public.

In the last week or so, since Josh left, he has sure been using Ben like a 'pawn' to do his dirty work. He got him convince that the three is conspiring to get rid of him. He sure know which button to push to get Brenda out. Knowing that Ben is the leader of the group, he was the right man to manipulate because Stacey will just go along. I don't think Estelle would have nominated him last night if it wasn't for the the arguments they had last week. SHe would have gone for Stacey and Michael.

Just like you I am actually starting to feel sorry for Ben, Michael is damaging him mentally. He came into the house very confident and positive but all you see now is negativity.
 
Hmmmmmm, it's getting interesting, the original power group are freaking since almost the WHOLE of their group is up - against eviction terminator Estelle, tee hee, they are shitting themselves.....and oh my how did this happen......

Well dickhead Michael is who Stacey & Ben have to thank for if he was actually smart he would have given his points to somebody else this week, fool.

Agreed. Ben's bitching is actually occasionally quite funny and good-natured (his impressions of Layla/Sam's date) but Michael's is ALWAYS really below the belt and never EVER to their face. Calling Estelle the 'fakest person he's ever met' and calling her 'dim' and 'socially retarded' and his comments about Ryan and Ray earlier on. Somehow he gets away with it. I thought Estelle listening into his nomination would change everything but it hasnt really. In the house he's still the popular 'down-to-earth' dude. Its crazy.

Yes, Michael's bitching has more of a nasty streak to it, whereas Ben's is just a mixture of venting and getting a laugh and Stacey's is just venting. It can't be easy being trapped in a house 24/7 with people with no escape, it's natural to need to vent a bit. Angie said in her web blog yesterday that Estelle can be pretty full-on and is a small doses person:

Michael, is so pushing Ben's buttons, He is very manipulative, though I think Ben at his age should have more self control. I am team Estelle all the way.
I would love to be a fly on the wall when Ben gets out and he realizes how he was totally outsmarted by Michael and that the housemates only started to talk about him after he got so nasty behind their backs. Which Michael instigated with his snide comments.
 
michael is as cold as ice. for all their various faults, no one else in the house is as calculating and emotionally closed off as him. i don't think he misses josh in the slightest, josh was just someone whose popularity umbrella he wanted to shelter under. when josh left michael saw his chance of winning escalate. i will not be told by him who to vote for.
 
I have a theory, that Michael hates Estelle as much as he does simply because she reminds him of a girl who broke his heart realllly bad when he was younger. That's the only possible reason he has said such horrible things about her and dislikes her so passionately.
And also why he is now asexual

On topic, I agree with the O/P and most of the other posts in here.. and I really dislike this manipulation by Michael across the board (including to some degree the BB staff eg. his little chats to BB which are directed at the audience and not only unpunished as attempts to contact the outside world, but also televised or put online for access - or both!).
