Ben (2012) or Tim (2013) Who is worthier?

BBB12winner, if that is your real name, I think you should do an AMA. Or maybe an AMAAWR (ask me almost anything within reason). I'll be nice!

So; the OP’s poll actually has a small flaw. There is no option to “opt out” i.e., neither were worthy. While I think that TIm’s style was more positive in its approach than Ben from last year, however, I feel the very notion that somebody going on national TV to win 250K in prize money is morally bankrupt anyway, ergo, they are both as BAD as each other. If I had the option I would have chosen neither, but I didn’t so I voted for Tim.

Having said that, Tim’s “performance” and the way he was edited, helped him immensely. Imagine this, if he had been evicted early in the series when he was nominated how would the show have panned out then? Why was so little shown of his response to 'Boogs’ giving back what he dished out? Those scenes where he reacted to her dishing it back out seemed so minimal, how often had this occurred throughout the season, only the actual HM’s will really know, because sure as hell Alex’s team edited the bejesus out of the footage they shot to suit their own ends; or the story arc, which ever was more important.

Over the years it has become apparent to me that, the very nature of the show will mean that no-one can agree as to who or what makes a “worthwhile” winner. Is it how they act as a human being generally on camera? Is it some form of chemistry that makes them watchable? In the end; fame whores are fame whores, 250K or not, when we waste hours arguing over the relative merits of an individual on highly edited TV are we morally bankrupt too, do you think that Nelson Mandella would have applied to be a contestant on the show, even if it meant the 250K would help his “cause”, I doubt it.

They are all fame whores.

Fame whores are worth zero to our culture. I am reminded of the scene in the Douglas Adams Book from the Hitchhikers Guide to the galaxy series where the space ship full of “middle management people crashes on a planet and nobody knows how to set up a new society. That spaceship will be full of Alexs and Bens, Laylas, and Tims none sure of how things really work. I hope I’m not on THAT spaceship!

I hope my spaceship has digital TV and some worthwhile content!

The show isn't really just about the winner (or only the prize money) it's about the whole cast and how they interact and respond to different challenges.

HAHA another person or possibly the real Ben is posting on a Reality Ravings article about himself.

EDIT: After re-reading this thread and after something very strange happened to me, I now know that it is not Ben posting LOL. I'm not saying I thought it was him before, I just didn't care.

EDIT2: I tweeted Ben and asked if was in fact him who was posting on RR and he said yes! Oh shit my bad LOL.

Also Ben said he didn't know anything about the person on here who was posting as him.
