He seems quite bitter about it and has reportedly unfollowed BBUK online. Unbelieveably entitled to think he was a shoe in for the job really.
I agree he shouldn't have been asked back due to being so associated with the diaster that was BBUK on C5. He has improved signficantly as a broadcaster though although his radio show has really gone downhill in the last year - far too much about him now rather than his listeners.

More of understanding his position than actually wanting him back. I doubt Sonia would care either way if she was asked to return; Rylan clearly does.

For one I second @Mustardās point that I understand why heās hurt by the decision and while I could have accepted him as presenter Iām not bothered by the fact that he didnāt get the job.
However comparing Rylanās situation to Sonia is uncalled for. Sonia was never a competent host and doesnāt have a genuine interest in the show. Aside from Will every other main show presenter post-Davina has previously been involved with the show one way or another. Rylan believing he should have at least been asked isnāt unprecedented.
Will agree to disagree on that one then.
More speculation the housemates will arrive by boat with the latest pics. I like the idea, but not sure a gap in the fence is enough to facilitate that so it might just be for filming shots from across the river. I also don't think there is enough room for a crowd around the stage, and the ticket releases don't mention the audience being outdoors, so I think we'll see the show largely from indoors with the housemates just arriving at the outside door to enter the house.

I think with a pre-recorded launch there are two ways to do it really. Record it as live with minimal edits, or be unashamedly pre-recorded and take advantage of that to span a greater time frame and show more content.
If they go for a hybrid of the both - pretending it's live but regularly cutting in house footage, it can end up being a bit of a mess.
Not sure what time the launch is filming - whether it's around 9pm as it would be if it were live or if they are filming it earlier in the evening.

According to BBSpy, audience members have been told to be at the studio by 5:45pm on the Saturday. I would imagine they'd be filming by 7pm at the latest based on that since I can't imagine they'd have that time and then have people standing around for three hours.
Also says they're filming it 'as-live'.
I love how we are all so excited for BBUK and no one gives a shit about trainwreck channel 7 is hanging by a noose in November, no one has even bothered talking in the thread. I wish someone would pick bbuk up here! SO excited for the return. It'll feel alot like how BB should be for us.
It's a problem which actually dates back to the latter C4 days, especially with Celebrity Big Brother, but it seems however long the series is they cast it as if it's running for 3 months. EPG data next week suggests they'll be 16 housemates for just a 6 week series, which is easily 4-6 too many considering in it's early years the 9 week runs on C4 began with 10-12 housemates.
Also more housemates doesn't make for a more interesting show - quite the opposite in fact. It'll probably mean just like on C5 that they'll be a few producers favourites getting the airtime and half the cast will be little more than extras.

Iām not too concerned about that last bit. BBAUās casting wouldnāt be terrible if the show wasnāt pre-recorded. Also in terms of the voice over with BBās quick turn around Iām doubtful theyāll go through the additional step of dubbing a standard BB voice just for consistency sake.
