Mod: Discussion split off from the fan-made BB mocks thread.

I just hope they bring the theme back, they butchered it in 2014... and was non-existent for the 7 era. But we'll have to wait and see.

The full theme not just another abridged remix… 2014 was terrible but let’s be honest the remix used for the other two Nine era series left a lot to be desired.

I think this particular topic really speaks to what Ten should be doing with this revival as a whole which is giving it the FULL treatment. After two underwhelming eras and with the show returning to its original home the expectation is exactly that. Anything less is going to lead to massive disappointment.

100% and I'm expecting the original promos Ten used to run, they really knew how to hype up the viewers. Though I will say I think 07 (and maybe others) gave away all the secrets prior to launch night then edged us for most of the show, only to reveal what we already knew. But I DEFINITELY don't want to see Mel doing something like "The Twist", "Party Rock'" or any other silly dance number that 9 did. BB isn't a musical 🫠 keep it simple people.

I agree. I can’t help but feel nostalgic for the Ten era campaigns despite the fact I think during the Kris Noble era that they often overhyped and underdelivered.

While I can’t see Mel pulling a Sonia I definitely think she could pull off a Chari XCX sort of Brat/BB summer vibe. I posted a clip of her Coachella set in the other thread… The sprawling words, flashing lights, and pumping bass was a bit reminiscent of peak era BBAU adverts. I think you can have music associated with a campaign without it being solely about the music and/or gimmicky like it was in the Nine era. Like wasn’t Love Inc -Broken Bones used at some point in the 2000’s?

They'll never ever manage to make me feel more hyped than the BB05 promos did. The payoff in the third one is just PERFECT.

Although, like @Kingston said, they massively overpromised, and delivered us... the Logans. 😬

And hey, finally a good place to drop my "What if BB04 had 'rainbow' titles like BB05-BB07?" experiment.

Probably not the right thread for this, but did BB ever release the original 2001 theme without all the sound effects? Or has anyone come across it? They used the edited one heavily for 01 and 02, then used the raw version for Uplate, the tally board and voting numbers in the later series. There's a CD which has the radio edit on it, but wasn't sure if they ever released the raw version.
