Launch and live show tickets

Pre-recorded launch confirmed for the Saturday (this is good, happy about this, live launch eps are always clunky).

Live special on the Monday, following Sunday’s premiere on Ten.

First live nominations show happening two days later on Wednesday. This means our first eviction is most likely happening the following Sunday, which is much earlier than OG days.

Could we really be seeing a BBUK ITV schedule format for this season?

Tickets for the live shows offer three standing-only options. All tickets appear to be free.

Potentially no dedicated auditorium confirmed. All info specifies an outdoor space with no undercover area for the audience (presumably the stage will be covered).

This is all giving BBUK set-up vibes...

LIVE STAGE (Dreamworld Passholders):
Standing zone with direct views of the stage. Get right in the middle of the action. Standing within the stage zone, you’ll have a direct line of sight to all the live drama as it unfolds in real time.

LIVE STAGE (General Admission):
Standing zone with direct views of the stage. Get right in the middle of the action. Standing within the stage zone, you’ll have a direct line of sight to all the live drama as it unfolds in real time.

FAN PIT (General Admission):
Standing area outside stage zone, watch on screens. Located between the stage zone and the Big Brother House, the Fan Pit keeps you close to the buzz. Watch the show live on big screens, surrounded by fellow fans and full show audio.

WHAT TO EXPECT?
  • The Big Brother live show is a high-energy, outdoor event filmed at Dreamworld. Both ticket types - Live Stage and Fan Pit - are standing-only experiences with no seating available. Filming takes place outside, so please be prepared for changing weather conditions. If rain is expected, clear ponchos will be provided. Umbrellas are not permitted once inside the event space.
  • We strongly recommend eating dinner before arriving, as food outlets will be limited prior to the show. Light refreshments will be available for purchase during the event.
  • Ticket allocation is strictly limited. Once tickets are gone, they’re gone — so get in early to avoid missing out.
  • Passholder Exclusive: Dreamworld Passholders receive early access to tickets before the general public.
  • Please note: by attending, you consent to being filmed and recorded, including by drones and roving cameras. Footage may be used in the broadcast and promotional materials for Big Brother.
LIVE STAGE VS FAN PIT - WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?
Live Stage:
  • Located within the stage zone
  • Direct visibility of the main stage and action
  • Immersive experience with proximity to the cast and set
  • Standing-only area
Fan Pit:
  • Located adjacent to the stage zone, between the stage and Big Brother House
  • Watch the show live on big screens with full audio
  • Opportunity to get close to the housemates
  • Standing-only area

Same applies to 10 era. There's a tendency to over-glorify what was ultimately a concrete slab with a shed. The house was nothing more than a set built within a soundstage, hardly an architectural marvel. If anything, the auditorium and production offices were a bigger feat.
Oh for sure, they were all larger than life, design wise. Just the extra degrees of fourth wall breaking for HMs when there's no ceilings, visible lighting rigs, and (in Seven's last "house") having to depart the house set and negotiate black curtain "hallways" to get to two of the three DRs.

I think taking care to make it house-like is important even though I'm sure it's totally surreal to be there IRL. Maybe it's just me.

Same, live noms are tedious. Of the many things we could adopt from the UK, folding noms into the daily show is towards the top of my list.
I honestly wouldn't mind a live noms show with the guests and extra footage etc, just with the actual nominations part being prerecorded. I know it defeats the purpose, but the format itself isn't bad, it's just been terribly executed.

I agree on nominations shows, the 05-07 streams made me realise how tedious they are to watch. I do like how they interview people occasionally and dissect the dynamics, but I’d rather they set aside part of the show for that and another for nominations.

Rather than jumping back and forth to simply in the end see which housemates MIGHT be evicted. I’ve always appreciated how efficiently the channel 4 version of bbuk got through nominations.

I pray they don’t make big brother strict on the nominations reasoning, just let them say a name and be done. I do not really care if their reason isn’t explained at thesis standards at all. Just let them say they hate each other and be done lol

Big Brother: Live Stage Information
Please read the following carefully;

What to Expect, Bring and Wear!
  • Get right in the middle of the action. Standing within the stage zone, you'll have a direct line of sight to all the live drama as it unfolds in real time.

  • Outdoor standing event — no seating available
  • Eat before arrival; limited food available onsite
  • Clear ponchos provided if weather is poor
  • No phone use once inside (phones off) <--- This hasn't stopped leaks in the past 😉
  • No umbrellas or bags
  • Bring physical or digital ID (ages 12+ only; under 18s must be with an adult)
  • Wear enclosed shoes and plain clothing (no logos/patterns)
  • Bring sunscreen
  • No smoking or vaping
  • By attending, you consent to being filmed (including drone footage)

The fan pit is giving “we’ve tried to squeeze everything in, but ran out of room, so overcrowding can go behind the stage and before the house - and - if tickets don’t sell through, at least the stage looks full”

(based on concern that crowds in UK eviction show and late and live being low maybe?…)

Would be nice for something better for next year. 🤔 Standing room at the front with some raised seating behind would be nice, room permitting.

So I’m assuming fan pit would be behind or to the side of stage and is where housemates will walk off/ will be entrance/eviction ramp/area.

Looks like all available tickets for both the Launch taping and first Nominations show are "sold out". Apparently only a handful left for the Monday night special currently.

I wonder what their audience capacity is. Can't imagine it'd be much.

There are still some fanpit tix left for the launch

Do we think the Fan Pit is something akin (on a much smaller scale) to what the original BBUK series had, where there was an audience lining the bridge? Kind of like an audience for the transit to/from the house for the host and housemates?

Obviously I'm totally expecting the travel from our house to stage to be incredibly minor regardless. But with info suggesting the Fan Pit will only be able to watch the show via screens (and only hear it at times), makes me think they'll be sequestered in some way from the main action. That part intrigues me.

Possibly, my interpretation however “between the stage and house” makes me think they’re very close, almost connected.

“Up close to the house mates”, makes me think eviction/entrance ramp or walkway with traditional high-5’s.

Or could even be big brother Italy situation with small stage outside the house.
