Just going to quote this from an article that @the Theorist linked in another thread.
Tully talking about Nine's purpose-built BB house:
What I will say however is that it’s not really a house, more a set. We’d often have chunks of the ceiling fall on us or dodgy door handles come off. Ikea stickers on the bottom of vases. End of the day, it’s a TV set and only meant to last until the end of the season.
I she felt that way about Nine's house imagine how Seven's felt. And this new one???
Same applies to 10 era. There's a tendency to over-glorify what was ultimately a concrete slab with a shed. The house was nothing more than a set built within a soundstage, hardly an architectural marvel. If anything, the auditorium and production offices were a bigger feat.
I still stand by ITV’s houses actually being quite good and the unfavourable view comes from their lack of variation.
One thing that has come to mind is smoking/vaping. I wonder if this series will follow ITV and have a smoking room or whether they’ll follow past series in making the HM’s quit for the duration of the series?

Not allow to show people smoking on TV in Australia, so wouldn't be much point to a smoking room, Housemates could go in the room, smoke and talk about thing they don't want to make it to air or we would miss some interesting conversations and parts of conversations they start in another room then move into that room and we'll wouldn't be able to fully get to know the housemates.

BBUK’s smoking room isn’t shown on TV either. It’s also not as if they couldn’t have rules about how it was used ie. only having one person in there at a time. I mean in general the toilets aren’t shown on TV either. Can’t speak for BBAU but I know in BBUS they only turn on those cameras if and when there are multiple people in there.

In addition to not televising it, Australia’s smoking laws in general are super strict though - and getting stricter. It’s outlawed in a lot of public spaces, and I know some places like Melbourne are trying to ban it from the city completely. Plus, Dreamworld would be considered an entirely smoke-free zone, no? So with the house in the middle of the park, even if there was an open-air space within the compound, I imagine those rules would definitely still apply. Either way, it’s never been a thing on BBAU (can’t speak for the not-really-BB Seven era) so I highly doubt they’re gonna start encouraging the promotion of smoking now, televised or not.
Good lord the UK house looks like a traveling carnival and reminds me at times of the final C4 version that was circus themed. So. Much. Colour. I'm convinced the yard area will be about the same size.
The point being made about ITVs lack of variation stands. Obviously elements have been borrowed from the glimpses we've had. Praying it's more subtle though.
Also, AFIK, smoking was never allowed in the BB house, even in 2001.

Also gotta say that I hate the logo without the OG eye. The fact that they included it is the only reason I said I didn’t mind the updated version.
ETA: If they really wanted an updated branding they should have gone with something like the 2005 - 2007 logo but swapped the pixilated eye for the OG. Like think of these combined:

I know this isn't what you suggested but you reminded me of Poland's BB 4.1 that went with a more generic eye but pixelated like BBAU 05-07 (also recognise the theme tune?). No question about it where their inspiration came from
I actually don't understand why they've changed the aesthetic branding so close to the start. I was really into the blue human eye they were using up until recently. Albeit simple, a branding someone was obviously paid to create. When the first promo dropped last year featuring it, it really amped me up. Now it just looks... generic. One of my favourites of the entire BB franchise is the BB5UK titles.
The "Starting Soon" bumper on the live streams really showed how well the first version worked and was a solid nostalgic blast from the past.
Agreed. The 'OG' 2025 eye was amazing. The new one, meh. TBH.
I wonder how this 2025 reboot would have been received if they started with this newer eye in initial promos to appeal to 9 and 7 audiences before reverting to a more OG eye in later promos and in the series proper. We'd probably have complained though, hah.

I’m predicting an opening similar to the OG era, albeit something short and snappy. Visual shots of the house / Dreamworld, control room, “12 Housemates”, “1 Winner”, “You Decide”, title card. I still think the animated logo we’re seeing in the current promos is the end of the intro.
Also, apparently, according to the BB social team, the 2025 theme will sound most similar to the 2003 mix.
