BBAU 2025 house at Dreamworld Exhibition Centre

Courtesy of Theme Park Girl, they're yanking the exterior down today!
I predicted this yesterday. I reckon they'll remove the cameras before it opens to the public as well, if they haven't already.

I wonder what happens. They'll obviously get dumped into a not so grand BB hotel overnight. Would producers have all their flights home booked for tomorrow? Get rid of them all and pack up for Christmas break?

Mothball the house as is? Or strip out all the super expensive hot head cameras until they're needed again next year? Will be interesting to see how quickly the yard gets dismantled.

How long will it be up if for though? This house is already way more temporary than an OG house. The exhibition centre surely has other uses in the meantime.

I do wonder if the next house will be in there too. But it’s odd because I doubt dreamworld will keep shutting down the gold coaster every time there’s a season of BB.

So the backyard area will be taken down? Kind of disappointing if true. Either way I'll be there Jan 4-6, hoping tours are open by then!

It literally looked like it was rotting by the end of the season.

I'm sure this doesn't need to be said, but post lots of pictures from your visit.

I'm a dreamer but I hope they build a new house in that big area adjacent to where it was this time. They just need to take care it's not overlooked by rides.

I agree. The dirt lot adjacent to the current production area would seem like the best spot. Make the exhibition centre the live stage/set and retain the current production space they're using. I do only see them committing to a semi-permanent house build if they see the rebooted show going more than a couple years. Active rides and Big Brother just don't seem compatible.

Just saw Mel Tracina posted this on her Instagram story. Not sure if it's just where she rehearses or if they've moved the show to somewhere with a roof tonight given the likelihood of storms. I did notice the BBAU account posted earlier that more tickets had been released, so I'm thinking they may have moved it. If so, it makes you wonder why they couldn't have had it in whatever venue this is from the start?
Posting this for prosterity as I don’t think it’s been shared on the forum - confirming that this other stage was a weather contingency (finally… it only took ‘em 4 weeks, lol). They even designed the area in the chance they had to pivot to it at short notice.

As per Adventures Of Theme Park Girl on Facebook, it was “prepared as an alternative backup venue for broadcasting tonight's show, which is all situated undercover […] and has a roof so any rain or storm activity should not interfere with tomorrow night's schedule, other than having to migrate the crowd from one space to the other if need be. It's expected that, due to Big Brother's successful run this year, we can expect a proper undercover stage space to be prepared next year”.

Also, EVENTelec was responsible for a lot of the feed infrastructure to and from the house this year.

EVENTelec was engaged to deliver the site and broadcast supply network for this year's production, ensuring a reliable, seamless setup to support the round-the-clock filming and live broadcast requirements.

They’ve only started to do so after it was mentioned here that they could have just moved the show to Main Street, where they have a stage or a roof, or to the Theatre instead of having Mel in the hallway and everyone piss off.

It’s the bit of hope I hang on to that they will at least think about a few things that were posted here.
