BBAU 2025: Casting open, return to Dreamworld Confirmed

TEN is airing Celeb Amazing Race for three nights in it's premiere week. With a suspected legnth of 12 episodes this could mean TAR is over within the month, is the gap between it and BB really going to be this long?

That is just for the first week. “Talkin' 'Bout Your Generation” starts Tuesday Sep 16. Amazing Race will only be 2 episodes a week (Sun/Mon). That will stretch the Amazing Race out a little longer.
Everything has suggested a November start even though getting on air in October and being able to run around 8 weeks would be very beneficial but sadly don't see it happening. Not sure what 10 have to plug the gap but feels like they've wasted Survivor burning it off in just 3 weeks and it would actually have benefitted from airing one less episode a week.
Yeah, I can’t see it starting any earlier than November. The start dates are set. It could be extended one more week in December (ending on the 15th instead) but they seem determined to stick with a 4/5 week run.

We in NZ are only getting one episode a week. The third episode will be airing Thursday. However, I watched the first three episodes on YouTube before they were taken down.

Does anyone know how long it was between submitting their application and hearing from a producer?
We’re not playing this game. If you haven’t heard anything after submitting your application it likely means you aren’t good enough. Consider a therapist if you’re unable to handle that 💁🏼‍♂️

Yeaaaah. Knew someone who submitted in Aug and within a week got contacted for an interview the week after. Even "shortlisted" ppl on YT are saying they're still waiting for a call. Must suck to just be used for promotional purposes hahaha

This.

Producers also distributed emails to most of the major acting and personality agencies back in May/June, with expressions of interest for clients to audition. (Also, people won’t want to hear this, but producers were also scouting Instagram and TikTok accounts, contacting people via DM with suggestions to audition.) So if the regular Joe Blow hasn’t heard by now, they likely won’t.

This isn’t to say our cast won’t be made up of “regular people”, by the way. But these days you have to outreach.

They're super set on getting everyone to talk, which is great!! Though you're sooo right. If you havent been contacted now, you probs won't get on. Just asked my friend and he said he is still waiting on the next stage after the 1st interview. He might get contacted or not. I think most people who got an interview will probably make it to the next stage, which I assume is a second call?

A very interesting theory I just read on Reddit about how the BBAU YouTube account is currently being managed, uploading so many audition videos, and another reason why they might be putting effort into the classic episodes. We already know the season marathons are being used as a trial for potential future livestreams, so I think there’s some validity to this theory, especially if it means a grander plan for how they might use it down the track.

Food for thought.

It is very highly likely that they are doing it to meet requirements to monetize their youtube account in time so they can do live streams of the house directly to youtube after hours. Hence the lot of shorts to rack up the watch time and the subs. But also, yes I would say most (not all) would've been short listed. The videos are only potential housemates. They can still get rejected by producers even before getting a call back.

It was a genuine question that I was curious about. I’ve actually auditioned several times throughout the years and every time I’ve made it through to the live auditions but couldn’t remember how long it was between submitting my application and hearing back from a producer. I haven’t been sitting here worrying that they haven’t called me.

They were encouraging people to subscribe, by using that as means to be able to participate in the live chats. I really hope they do live stream the forthcoming season on Youtube, as opposed to 10(play) or P+. So this theory could well hold water,

That makes a lot of sense.
