I didn't want to watch Uncut because I thought it was all about nudity and stupid comment from the HMs, but I watched it last night and surprise, it was actually refreshing to see them without all the editing. I understand a lot more about them watching Uncut. I hate the editing with get in the daily shows, it is far too fake.
BB stop editing let us see and hear the HMs as they are, you don't know how to make a story so leave it alone and let us enjoy BB

Uncut has somewhat ironically basically become the show for the bits which don't fit into their "house of love" narrative, which makes it a better watch.

I do maintain that actually on the whole this is a better cast than it first appeared - Seven have sold them short by promoting them as nothing but "sexy singles" and it's not like the Ten era, especially the Kris Noble era, didn't cast similarly.

Yes, there are a few who offer nothing but their looks (and the more they reveal themselves the uglier they become!) but there are a few in there who are good value and bring more than their bodies to proceedings when we see them outside the childish "who's hooking up with who" narrative.

I think it's just a nature of political correctness in 2023. People are cautious about objectifying people. Body shaming and various other things. People are just way more cautious with what they say for fear they step over a line they don't know about.

I was wondering that too - especially since buried somewhere in this forum is a series of posts from people encouraging Benjamin Norris to give out dick details on the 2012 housemates - which he eventually did. Ranked them from biggest to smallest and even gave size estimates (how he got that knowledge, I have no idea). Maybe they did a circle jerk or something.

for me, its because a) big brother as a show has already gotten into trouble for crossing sexual lines before, and b) unlike this time twenty-years ago there are now plenty of other places online to view that type of adult content.

^^ I was pretty much right from the start, before the show even aired. Seven's really conservative, and it's true that times have changed since 2007. The point is they promised something then went out of their way to avoid it. They shouldn't have called it Uncut, maybe After Hours or something, and promoted it as a companion show with "content we couldn't air on TV" (at least in the original 7.30pm slot). There's nothing in it they couldn't have shown at 8.30pm had the daily show been more popular, 9.30pm if they were squeamish.

It does frustrate me when people mix up nudity with pornography. In a way reviving Uncut has been a nice throwback to the noughties where people weren't so uptight and wound up by everything, though I certainly get that the idea of having a show just to see housemates naked is viewed differently by society now, although that said across there are shows like Naked Attraction and Dating Naked which are really popular now.

Uncut is what it is - perhaps the biggest change is it's more about giving glimpses now rather than long lingering shots, and that applies to the chat as well as the visual content too.

Hasn't the current push in the last few years been more dicks in media? We're certainly getting more.

Things like some actresses in Westworld complained they had to show their tits in season one in the media so they pointlessly made one of the male actors show his dick in the second season. As some sort of equivalency. Which was stupid logic in my opinion. You watch some stuff these days and the only nudity is dicks.

My personal opinion is watching something, think an actress is attractive and it can be, "Oh cool her tits" but it's honestly pointless. I don't watch everything for titillation. Most of the time it's unnecessary. I personally think it's an unaddressed issue when it comes to Hollywood that getting nude is basically required for many actors. It folds right into the sexual abuse rampant in that industry. I can also be a hypocrite and frowny face we didn't see Alicent's tits in House of the Dragon based on previous expectations.

However, that has nothing to do with Big Brother. It's a show to watch people interact and be in a fish bowl. Nudity is just part of that if they choose to be nude in the house. It's a glimpse outside of our normal purview. It completely goes back to the social experiment. Like I find it fascinating the locker room culture with the boys. I have never been part of that or will be. It's a legitimate insight to behaviour. The same as the women that hang out with their tits out.

I'm sure every single one of us has thought about if we were on Big Brother. If I was on the show, you wouldn't be seeing my dick and that's not up to the editors. Everyone on the show has that choice.

If anything, all the bum shots in the regular show have seemed more gratuitous than any nudity in Uncut.

Nobody expects actual porn on TV, we just want a bit more of what we used to have.

Finally caught up with Wednesday’s both episodes and uncut. Uncut really is the better show this year. And I’m not interested in the nudity. Just the casual conversation between different people.

I was sad to lose Bella and Jake. Ollie didn’t get much of a chance,
. the way Minee foreshadowed that she’s going to go back to playing with Louis after Ollie was evicted was a bit yuck. Although I also have to say that I thought I didn’t mind Louis earlier, but the last few episodes kind of turned me off him.

Graciemay and Dion are definitely carrying the entertainment factor this year. Dion especially in the uncut episode. The bromance between him and Teejay seems fun.
