I was going to type a similar reply. Problem is… it’s such a mixed format now. Who knows what the best reason someone has for winning? In the previous channel 7 series I have championed strategic players. This year we haven’t seen enough strategy to decide based on that. We also haven’t gotten to know them well enough to choose based on story.
So I defaulted to who I found most entertaining. Dion (and was GracieMay)

Completely agree - and the trouble with switching between house and competition noms is there is just no chance to build a narrative of a strategy as there is no real opportunity to try and compete to take revenge on the people who nominated you or evicted your friend as things seem to move on (even if in real time they're probably doing a nominations challenge every 4-5 days). I think though the "house nominations" may be designed so that the competition threats don't have all the power it feels like this in this series it's actually kept the power within that key alliance that'll never vote each other out and given the rest of the house far fewer opportunities to target them.

The only "strategic" move all season I could call out would be Dion evicting Jake over Ollie, but ultimately it counted for nothing as producers just threw in another eviction afterwards anyway so Ollie was going anyway.

Doubt it, Annaleise at the start of the season made a comment that the season is 25/26 days long, so they were probably told from the beginning.
