The Voice is only on 1 night a week now at the moment, but finishes and the Tour starts from the 27th July (after the show finishes).
Who's to say that TBGH isn't a short series and only goes for a Month ?
Trying to prove me wrong, @bleachy_dude ?
You should know, My posts are never straight forwards and they are always in codes. Maybe you need to go back and start your theory again.
I'd been wondering that too, and kinda surprised it hasn't been mentioned until now.
Last year, The Block had a shorter season (All Stars) which ran for 39 episodes, then had a standard length season (Sky High) which ran for 66 episodes.
This year, they've aired a standard length season (Fans v Favourites) which ran for 61 episodes, with another season still to come (Glass House).
I'd say it's likely that upcoming Block is a shorter season because Nine pretty much has the same amount of stuff to air as last year, and adding an extra four weeks to one show would make airing it all before the end of the ratings season a bit of a nightmare...
There's a few reasons why I think that can't be right, @Rison. The clues I have seen, for me, are easier to decode than Goon. Ignore his comment about only being a month long. IMHO I can't see Nine putting emphasis on The Block OVER BB. The Block performs heaps better than BB in basically every way (ratings, total people and demographics).
Yes All Stars was a shorter show. It was the first 'spin off' of The Block. However this year 'Fans vs Faves' was actually the spin off show. Glasshouse is the actual season for 2014. I don't see them having a short season for the non-spin off version.
Also, in the latest news.com.au article has Scott quoted as saying the Glasshouse contestants really struggled in the first 4-5weeks. So do you think he means they really struggled in the first 4/5 weeks and then came good for the final week? I think you can get that he is implying they get into it and start finishing rooms after week 4/5. There would have to be at least a few weeks after. Also the Glasshouse has 5 couples. It's in a very expensive area so probably 2mil+ apartments again AS well as having to convert the bottom floor to commercial and office space. Way too much to happen in one month or even 6 weeks.
Disclaimer: I know sweet FA, I'm just trying to put together clues.
The only way for The Block to be 11 weeks and BB to have a minimum of 12 weeks is to have both run concurrently now, at least for a few weeks. My hope is that BB becomes an 8:30 show with more freedom to show adult content. If BB is 90minutes though, as Alex Mavrowhatshisface hinted at in an earlier article that will be The Block 7:30-8:30 then BB 8:30-10pm. That's a bit of a stretch for reality TV watchers. Many people would want to watch both series but who has the time to invest in 2 and a half hours of reality every night? Hmm I dunno.
Ps Hamish & Andy is on Tuesdays from the 1st July, I wonder how many weeks that is going to run for ?
Probably 6 episodes liked the last 2 seasons. Not that this probably has any effect on any of the above at all. Good try to throw us off the scent though.
Let's not forget that on the start date of BB, @Goon has admitted he doesn't know. His guess is as good as ours at the moment. It's all speculation.
You caught me out. I have no idea yet.
Lol
Might be a good way for Nine to test the waters with a later time slot and see how the lesser family-friendly approach goes.My hope is that BB becomes an 8:30 show with more freedom to show adult content. The voice will go for 49 days (I think) so the voice kids will go for 49 days (maybe...?) And big brother could start the day after the voice kids ends, which is Monday the 18th of august...?[DOUBLEPOST=1402745091][/DOUBLEPOST]
Thank-you
I don't think the voice kids will go as long as the voice. I don't think there will be showdowns and they won't extend it as much as they have with the adults version. So my guess is first first Monday of August
I was at the filming for Millionaire Hot Seat yesterday and Michael Pope, who does the crowd warm up/producer roles for Hot Seat, as well as organises audiences tickets for multiple different shows said that The Voice Kids is only a 5 week thing. Can only assume he was telling us the truth.
Hope that helps in your launch date speculation!

i hope BB does air at a later time slot, sort of 'game on' for the adults, finally (if it happens that is)

You should know I would never try to prove you wrong, Goon. In fact, it's impossible. You are so vague that you can't be proven wrong.

Also, ironically this thread started with a twitter from a tradie who said he started work on the BB compound early July. Everyone (including Goon) disbelieved this guy... He's looking pretty credible now, right?
Thanks for that info, mate.I was at the filming for Millionaire Hot Seat yesterday and Michael Pope, who does the crowd warm up/producer roles for Hot Seat, as well as organises audiences tickets for multiple different shows said that The Voice Kids is only a 5 week thing. Makes sense to me. I didn't think this would be a full season. It's just a mini-special. Hope for Nine's sake that it doesn't do irreparable damage to the Voice brand. They rely so much on the format.
HR is doing what?House Rules is already doing that

The strength of HR has probably pushed the launch of Glasshouse back.
