I find this all so strange. They never release when the finale is before the show starts to keep the housemates guessing. Why now? Is it legit that it is 80 days?

It's always possible the season will be cut short or extended (as happened last year), though with them squeezing it in at the end of the ratings season it's highly unlikely that date will change.

I wonder if they are unsure about whether they want Big Brother before the Block or vice versa?

Yeah I've been checking - last year the Foxtel guide showed a whole 14 days in advance for Channel 9. Not this year...

They did some nice advertising on The Block near the Channel 9 logo at the bottom.
