BB27 USA - starts 10 July

Changed my mind after watching some of the feeds yesterday and seeing some recaps on TikTok. As long as it’s not Amy I’ll be happy.

Also brilliant casting Rachel this season! Not that she’s really bringing the drama per say but that she’s the straight woman in a house full of unhinged, emotional, players 🙌🏻

Also brilliant casting a group of people who for the most part have no idea what they’re doing… Seeing a lot of comments that players have only watch one season of the show (probably BB26) which is causing a lot of chaos.

It’s exactly why I rate the early seasons over 99.9% of those we’ve seen in the modern era. Watching people figure out how to play the game, make mistakes, and make emotional decisions will always be more entertaining than people who’ve studied the game and know exactly what their next move should be/follow the group because they’re afraid to become a target.

Also anyone who thinks brining back the AI Arena as a permanent part of the game needs to be slapped… They’re the type of people who think drinking orange juice after brushing your teeth tastes good.

Didn’t mind the 90 minute episode tonight… Nice to see the veto comp not completely dominating the episode and that they’re sticking with keeping them equitable. 🤞🏻Amy wins Blockbuster tomorrow… Hoping for a Kelley blindside but could live with Zae.

I haven't watched the veto episode yet but I guess from your comments, it's not that likely that Kelley is going? Before the veto ceremony, I've read lots of comments that made it sound like Kelley is the sure evictee if she doesn't win the Blockbuster and that Vince screwed it up by nominating her.

Blockbuster makes it so they can only go over scenarios. I’d say it’s a pretty dead heat in terms of reasons for people to go and will 100% come down to who’s on the block come time to vote.

As for my comments about Kelley they’re just my wishes. She’s been all over the place and has been working with the guys alliance. Volunteering to go up in the first week was a stupid move on her part and I hope it backfires on her. It’s completely different than Tucker doing it last year as he at least had a proven track record of wins where as she’s just assumed she could weather the risk.

I really enjoyed that first week. It didn't have a crazy eyes Angela moment like last year but still very fun. I love that Rachel is back, she has literally nothing to lose as she's already won before but also has full intention of creating good TV. I'm here for it. I also like that whilst they did give her immunity it came with being a have not and she got to reward 3 others with the same thing. It felt fair to me, obviously they were gonna give her immunity.

I like Matt's Zach's secret power, it will be interesting to see how well insulated he by the jury point or if more of the guy's get targetted. The whole acomplice thing was okay, a bit unnessary and the person was clocked online early but I'm still interested to see where this mystery theme takes the rest of the season.

Vince's HoH is a mixed bag IMO. He made some poor decisions such as nominating Kelley, and he could have handled the fallout from Ashley and Amy better. But, it seems he is pretty well insulated in the house, part of many alliances and also managed to have his number one survive. Although Ashley and Amy are both probably going for him if they win, I'm not 100% sure I only manage to catch the feeds when they're either all just getting up or during the late afternoon/evening.

Its funny because in most seasons I feel that the narrative leads to people like Ashley and Kelley getting evicted but both won their way to saftey. Zae was a fun chaotic presence, especially with his hard campaiging on the feeds, but he felt like the right person to leave for me. It takes power away from the group of boy's and he was going to target Rachel. It will be fun to see how players like Keanu and Jimmy approach this next week, I feel that a lot of drama is coming. Even if some of it seems very rehearsed on the feeds.

Ava is a standout character for me so far and I like her gamestyle so far. I like what most of the cast brings so far, but time will tell. I loved BB25 and BB26 a lot before the gameplay stood still, but at least this season is shorter so hopefully something a bit more similar to BB24.

It didn’t but it should have… They whitewashed a lot of the spiralling that happened this week.

As for the accomplice twist it wasn’t worth losing the first six days of feeds for but just like the pre-season clues it was never meant to go unsolved. Huge fail not having the premiere air over two back to back nights or better yet start the accomplice twist guessing game when the cast was announced.

Yes lost some eye candy but I agree his eviction feels right. IMO this is a woman’s season to lose. It will be interesting to see how things unravel and if they’re smart enough to see just how switched on this group of woman are. Also will find it interesting to see whether Rachel finds herself as an easy sacrifice or an easy to beat F2?

Also agree about Ava she’s a bit of a modern day Britney. I was a bit thrown off by her quirky sense of dress and the fact that paints people’s “auras” 🙄 but she has a personality to match and not just happy go lucky either 👌🏻

I don’t think it’s going to take much for the house to fully turn on Keanu. The edit downplayed just how much he was being considered until Vince decided to go for the low hanging fruit in Kelley. Jimmy I think has safety for at least a few weeks unless he completely pisses off the woman.

Highlight of the week was how little effort Rachel had to put in to going after anyone who came after her… Zae was guns blazing and she didn’t break a sweat 💅🏻.

ETA: Another two to watch I think are Kathrine and Lauren. Both aren’t getting a lot of screen time but have shown on the feeds that they understand what’s going on and aren’t afraid of taking sides either.

I agree, the difference between the two approaches was hilarious. Also agree regarding Keanu, luckily my days off work end up being the three days between veto ceramony and feeds so I was able to watch quite a bit, and yes they definitely underfocused on Keanu's position. I saw a lot of people online compare him to Devon in BB16 who is infamously known for his HoHitis. It would be entertaining to see Keanu in power.

As for eye candy Zae was better than what we got we last year aside from Tucker of course, but Vince is way more my type. Also love the Britney comparison with Ava, they're different but Ava's one liners are very Britney esc in a way.

No one comes close to daddy Tucker (it’s a state of mind lol) but yes I agree we’re not short on eye candy at all this season. Also there’s something about Zae that screams ready for quick cash on the blue and white site 💀. If all else fails he’s probably dumb enough that the goods will end up leaked so absolutely no loss. All that said I’m not lusting after anyone this season… It’s all about manifesting a group of self proclaimed “evil bitches” making it to the end.

Gotta say I’m digging The Mastermind but huge missed opportunity not connecting them in the same way they did Ainsley. It is nice having someone filling a BB style character/role but they should definitely be more involved in comps, specifically the Block Buster.

If they ever spun the North American format in to its own show they’d definitely be in the running to take on the BB role full time.

Props to Kelley that her gamble paid off for now. I also think that it was right for Zae to be evicted, at least in the longterm. I think I could have enjoyed a bit more of the Rachel vs Zae fight though.

Oh Julie… She wasn’t paying attention to the voting at all and they didn’t turn her mic off when Morgan was returning to living room.

She thought the vote was 5 to 1, when it was 4 to 2 when they went to commercial midway through as she could be heard asking someone where the vote stood.

Have they a new set for the challenges - the old one used to be full of pillars they had to work around but this one seemed a much larger open space.

The HoH spoiler should mean for a messy week and ensure they're an early boot.

I noticed it seemed way larger as well.

And I so agree re-this hoh. It will be a fun week and their storyline will take a Hisam like ending soon I bet

They are getting quite creative with their powers this year.. the HoH takeover sounds a bit like the gameplay mechanic from The Power, But they just nicked all of their remaining ideas from Big Brother, so I guess it makes sense.

Also, with all these powers in play, the Wednesday episode will be heavy on the comps this time.

Did it strike anyone else as odd that Julie's usual end-of-eviction show speech about the schedule for the upcoming week was pre-recorded? I wonder if there was a reason that they didn't want Zae to hear any of it - not that it really gave away much information....

Didn't notice that but it was pretty clear from the info given in Zae's interview he wouldn't be returning, although as is generally the case when the producers play up a secret to reveal it's usually met witht a shrug by the evictee and viewers rather than shock and intrigue. Even a week on nobody cares who the accomplice was when everything they did was choices of production anyway. Indeed a mistake not to keep them in an ongoing America's Player style role.

I figured that since Julie told him that Amy was the accomplice it ruled out the possibility of a battle back.

And since it’s an 83 day season there needs to be 3 double evictions or 3 instances of multiple evictions in a week.

No doubt there’s a twist coming, but with 17 people in a 12 week season I couldn’t see anyone returning based on length alone.
