I think this was a bit of foreshadowing on how Big Brother lost its honesty when it moved to 5. IIRC they always pretended that she’s been in the house 24/7, even when she goes to her own bedroom, when it was quite obvious that she would leave overnight (like she did on all the other versions she’s been on)
Yeah in her BOTS interview with Emma she was saying how the cameras were taken out of that room and she heard Big Brother announce her 8:30 am wake up call or something, lol.
She obviously wasn’t there overnight by herself from CBB8’s finale either, I think they showed a grab of the ‘room’ she watching the launch from at one point, and she also was nowhere to be seen in Jamie’s BOTS VT of the house interior getting prepared for the BB12 Launch, you would think they might’ve had her there for a quick cameo to keep up the ruse perhaps haha.
Had a bit of a busy week so Kinda stalled again, but i'm back on it making my way through Week 5. (Skimming/1.5x ing to the substantial bits on the side a lot of BOTS, as well as skipping the rest of OKTV where unavailable for the moment - see wk 4 update, has also helped streamline it along a bit too).
Saturday: Anton comes to the Diary room and is given a crown and cape for the day being His Bday. He is told (with the others watching the dairy room onscreen that he can ask the others do things for him within reason and be treated like the BDay King for the day. He’s also shown a message from his bandmate from the BOTS holding a newspaper with Anton on the cover that their song ‘Winner’ has been released and is becoming a big deal, Top 10 and may possibly go #1. Anton will perform it for the house later that night. As it’s being played to Anton, the rest of the house are told that it’s a secret task to not let Anton know its fake and that the song isnt out, it’s to win a party for him that night.
To add to the task, the housemates are all shown an interview with Anton’s bandmate by Emma on BOTS about the song. Later Anton performs the song in the garden with two dancers that drop in. Afterwards he is told via message from the bandmate what the task was and he takes it well. As the housemates party, Jay leaves a message for Louise under her pillow that he likes her out of message candies and tells her to go and look.
Sunday: BB wakes up the housemates with the alarm to tell them to clean up the aftermath mess of the party last night in the garden (presumably to quicken it up for the installation of the days task I guessed). The task is a bicycle circuit and burger stand performed in pairs of ‘fat truckers’ with Aden acting as the burger stand attendant handing out mini burgers on every lap.
The pairs must do laps and eat as many burgers as they can in like 3 minutes. Faye and Maisy get 7, as do another pair. Aaron and Mark blow past on 11, and it gets to Jay and Anton last, who just win with 12 (Jay’s 7 to Anton’s 5.
They come to the diary room to collect their ‘Prize’ which is to wear a hot dog outfit (Jay) and Burger outfit (Anton until further notice. they also won a ‘Happy meal’ Aaron and Mark think they dodged a bullet as its quite a hot day, Jay is struggling in that thing.
BB calls them to the diary room and offers them 2 cold lagers to drink now and take off the costumes, or stick it outa. little longer to win drinks right now for the rest of the house. they choose the latter. BB asks them to the Diary room for a second round, this time its Icecreams and Lager, they choose to stick it out again, and finally BB gives them lager and can take off the costumes.
Some more background info comes to light in discussions around Aaron and Faye, from Aaron’s apparent infrequency of action to Faye having an ex in his 40’s who was also a father.
Jay gets called to the diary room to address an off joke and give him a warning he had made earlier outside (which was a badly paraphrased non-PC quote from the movie White Chicks) about after having ‘Black’, you’ll need a wheelchair. He apologised and goes back to tell the others about it in the bedroom, to which Aaron (who wasn’t present) is particular appalled and heads to the diary room upset explaining he was so shocked they would think that was funny to repeat, movie quote or not as his ex wife was temporarily in a wheelchair. It’s unpacked a little more on BOTS and can see both sides it’s probably something that you might flippantly joke about with your mates even if some things are off-colour and not strictly PC at all times but not realise the insensitivity or everyone else’s personal history with it at the time unless it’s called out, but to have those convos and quote it on national tv plus the magnification of the big brother house where things can feel 100 times bigger than they are is another thing iykwim. Anyways bit of a deeper topic.
Monday: nominations day. Aaron is still upset about what Jay said and feels like he can’t with many in the house anymore. Mark goes outside to talk to him while he’s having another bit of an emotional moment, which Jay sees from the kitchen and remarks tro the others about Aaron often being in a mood and Mark is often the first to rush to his side kinda thing. Jay ends up nominating Mark for it.
After earlier telling Aaron he was getting bored of the routine, struggling in getting over the slump of mundanity and thinking of leaving, Mark tells him it’s better if Aaron stays because he thinks this tension atm is something he can more easily build back from kinda thing than Mark leaving because he feels he’s had the experience he came for, and mark believes Aaron can win this.
Nominations are announced. It’s Maisy and Faye up on 6 each. Aaron’s a bit shocked at the wrong two in his opinion being up, but finally speaks to Faye after having not all day and gives her his support.
Tuesday: Toy Factory Shopping Task. Jay is the boss in the red room (for reading the task instructions I presume) and chooses Anton and Aden as Duty Managers, The rest are factory workers. First The Execs get a breakfast whilst workers get Porridge which Aaron and Mark have a play fight with.
First task is stuffing 120 Bears. Aaron brings up the possibility that theyre meant to fail the task and starts being disruptive all task with Harry and Mark. Tom and Maisy get separate competing secret tasks to make the most toys to either take the budget to £500 or £600.
2nd task is putting 200 dolls tofgether and 3rd is to arrange 15 decks of scattered playing cards. After Aaron and Harry keep throwing the toy parts/cards everywhere, they are called to Jay’s office and fired for the afternoon while Mark suddenly steps up.
Meanwhile Jay gives several morale boosters by writing raps and poems over the PA and giving Tom and Alex name badges and Louise an Award. They pass and Tom passed his task.
Mark earlier decided to stay but comes to the Diary room again to ask to leave, another of his reasons seems to be he’s over the cameras and being filmed and just had enough isnt finding it fun anymore and is ready to go. BB tells him to speak to his housemates and BB will put it in motion for the next morning. He tells the others, Tom Maisy Alex Jay and Aaron take it hard, getting emotional. Mark seems resolute on leaving in the morning.
Wednesday: Marks given a big send off in the morning and exits the house. Later the housemates do the shopping list, however Harry (egged on by Aaron and Anton) sabotages it in the diary room when he comes in to deliver, by ordering some basics followed by large quantities of some random items, such as 500 Bananas, 100 bottles of food colouring, loads of boxes of Frosted Flakes and bottles of Milk, with 20 bottles of ketchup.
Jay is fuming and ends up letting it out on a cushion in the garden as a punching bag. He later calms down and talks to Harry that he should do it solo next week. Although Louise finds the venting of his aggression a bit hot and later there’s some more kissing going on in the bedroom.
Thursday: Jay puts a sock on his thing and tries to shave his behind in the mirror in the bathroom and gets walked in on by Maisy lol. Later he gives Aaron a haircut trim.
Anton, Jay and Aden hatch a plan to mess with Harry and Aaron’s washing in the bathroom. Anton tips a bottle of food colouring in the bath and Jay chucks a few of their clothes in and squirts one of the 20 bottles of ketchup around the rim.
This starts an argument with Harry calling them all dickheads and Aden like a henchmen follower, Jay and Anton owning up to their part in it, and Harry being disappointed in Anton.
Later though Harry calms down. Marcus: “66 Minutes and numerous ‘dickheads’ later, Harry’s Cooled down and talking with Aden”. LOL. They all hug it out. Jay builds a ‘Love den fort' kinda thing in the bedroom for him and Louise.
Friday: Louise seems to be having second thoughts about going any further with the PDA with Jay in the house and thinking of pulling back. Aaron still giving Aden and Jay the cold shoulder until later he says in response to Jay trying to break the ice he’s not gonna get involved just to appear liked or suck up and avoid nominations kinda thing, and warns Aden about Jay making him his and Anton’s foot soldier, let him make himself look a dick like Harry was saying.
Eviction result is Maisy out. There’s also a surprise, a new housemate enters with the housemates watching them approach the front door - it’s Faye’s older sister Jemma! (Jem) she’s also a wrestler and pretty built. She is disapproving of Faye’s smoking when she’s drunk and BB ends up calling out both Faye and Aaron trying to light up in the outside toilet. This could cause a bit of tension as she could come off a bit of a motherly ‘big sister’ figure. At first I thought like the previous week where I thought Aden couldve gone although Heaven could give a bit more, maybe it also gives chance for Aden to do more or come up kinda thing, Here Fayes stroppiness was starting to wear a bit thin IMO And I would’ve preferred of the two Maisy to stay a bit longer but I guess Jem coming in also gives her a bit of an extra dynamic to see what happens too.
BOTS: Quiz episode had BB6 Eugene as scorer, John McCririck on team Josie and Heaven on Team Jamie. Carole’s distraction appeared to be inspired by Katy Perry’s whipped cream bra set to happy birthday to ya, whilst they also did the meal shake guessing round.
Side note the rest of OkTV appears to have gone down/currently unavailable, except for a winners interview episode on one of my other sources. I can leave that to try and find later, so I’m just gonna skip it for now, not missing anything much with the short segments with the few regular guests that are on it (Although would be interesting to see if Jeff continued the eviction prediction streak and if the challenges continued the gunge theme) but alas its gone by 2012 anyway so it’ll only be BOTS I’ll be skimming/1.5x speed in some parts through, haha.
Celeb of the week was Kerry Katona (sometimes on with Sue) and some other guests included Mark when he walked on with Nikki Grahame analysing him as well as playing ‘Who Da’nan? With Paul Danan. Emma had her nails done on ‘get fingered’ by Corin from BB11 and Shabby was also on discussing the girls going first and Victor was on with his segment. Rodrigo BB10 was back on the same panel as Rebeckah with Jodie Marsh and Maisy they also had Chico on among others. Jamie and Mark went to some sort of Zoom/Animal sanctuary in a VT and some of the BOTS crew sang the Saturday outro about Maisy.
Saturday: Aaron and Jem are kinda awkward around each other at first, whilst Jem tells Aaron he shouldn’t try and be on his best behaviour with her because she’ll see through it, but will get to know each other better later.
BB has placed a podium in the lounge with the a red button on it. Harry presses it and Sexy and I Know It by LMFAO starts playing. They work out that pressing the button gives them an unlimited dance party with different songs. Meanwhile Jem and Faye are called to the diary room and see that the button presses active a fan that will make it hard for them to build a house of cards with oversized card deck to win a takeaway from the house. After a lull in button presses and some bickering between the em they achieve it though, prancing the others at first that it was to decide which of them was gonna stay in the house.
Jem tells BB she would like to get to know Jay better, meanwhile Louise appears to be back on with Jay and they’re expressing to each other how much they like each other next day Louise telling Alex their couple name is ‘J-Lou’ lol.
Sunday: another mini task is presented in the garden. It’s a throwing at panels for prizes task. Aden aims for the date with Rebeckah but misses and gets the bus fare home instead, while Tom gets the date. Faye also aims for the phone call home but misses and gets ‘nominations’ freaking out a little that it might mean she’s automatically up. Harry gets the phone call instead.
Jem gets the gym session and Faye still in a mood, gets a bit stroppy for a bit that she chose Jay to come with instead of her.
Rebeckah and Tom have their date in the Red Room, where Rebeckah tries to pass a message to Aden through Tom to stay away from Anton but BB warns him of revealing any outside info lest the house get a punishment.
Nominations prize is that Everyone’s nominations for Faye last week were played in front of the house, followed by Faye’s two nominations, including one for Aaron. He’s doesn’t seem too phased or upset about it though and thinks it’s telling that Anton seemed a little shocked that people actually nominated him. Jay and Louise get their date night in the red room complete with robes a double bed and Another Level’s ‘Freak Me’ playing.
Monday: however the next morning Louise gets up early and chats to Alex about getting cold feet with Jay again, feeling they don’t have any connection in talking to each other or chemistry and better to remain as friends. She breaks the news to Jay who had gone back to the main bedroom and Aaron tells Louise that he thinks Jay seems fine with it on surface level but secretly is a bit disappointed because he really likes Louise so it might take some time for him to dial it back again iykwim.
It’s announced nominations are imminent and shock twist - housemates are now free to discuss noms until further notice! ‘Vote for meeeeeee’ says Harry lol. Meanwhile Anton springs to action in particular scrambling to strategise with Aden.
It’s a bit all over the place as some keep it more to themselves or attempt to sway speculation about who actually has voted for who. It ends up as a 5 way, with Anton out in front on 5 followed by Aaron, Faye, Jay and Aden on 3.
Aden gets a bee in his bonnet about Louise in particular singling her out for admitting she nominated him and makes a vow to ignore her for the rest of his time there, although it doesn’t last long and by the next day they’ve got over it. Anton thinks the others swayed the ‘Wolfpack’s’ nominations, and the next morning tells Alex that he thinks he worked it all out mathematical logic kinda style that she nominated him.
Tuesday: Shopping task: the garden has been blanketed in snow to look like a snowscape. The housemates are asked to volunteer 6 of them only to enter the large task room. Upon there they discover it’s been decked out with camping beds and snow and they are the ‘stranded’ housemates, whilst remaining 4 outside are the ‘Rescuers’ (Jay, Louise, Tom & Anton) who must complete a task each to rescue one of the stranded (this is similar to BB11’s cougar lady task).
Jay chooses Alex, but fails to self time 30 minutes on the Ski Machine correctly, jumping off at 29 Mins 50 Seconds. Louise correctly guesses 3 out of 5 Yellow Snow flavours in diary room to rescue Alex (Lemon, Fish & Curry, but didn’t guess Ginger and Cow Urine).
Tom wins the snowball fight with a Yeti to rescue Aden, and Anton announced he wants to save Faye for the lulz to annoy Aaron and have them separate for a bit (The remaining three would have to spend the night in there to pass). He has to do a climbing machine steps of 1344 to scale the height of Ben Nevis. He can take breaks.
BB plays ‘Ain’t no mountain High Enough’ to get him over the line. However Aaron and Harry conspire to stuff up their plans and sabotage the Task (again) by escaping and walking out along with Faye. Jem joins them. Jay Anton and Aden are NOT impressed, Jay even offers to bargain with BB for him to spend the night in there to still pass the task.
Aaron seems pleased with himself he’s got one back over on Anton and made him make himself look silly but at the expense of depriving the rest of the house the luxury budget. It’s a bit of a mixed reaction on BOTS between is Aaron being a bit petty/ tit for tat and whether they should be penalised somehow individually for throwing the task on purpose when they weren’t obviously distressed or anything being in there (I thought maybe something like they did with Vanessa back in BB6 perhaps) even though one the other hand it causes some conflict for entertainment value side of things), or is it really not that bad they just have to pool budget a bit harder for the essentials kinda thing. YMMV.
Wednesday: as expected, Aaron and Harry’s sabotage cost them the task as it’s announced, although everyone chips in some of their share (particularly Aaron and Harry) to buy Alex a hair extension which she’s humbled by so that was a nice gesture I suppose. Anton’s still moody though and tells the others he’s ready to go on Friday and there’s a bit of atmosphere hanging around the house. Aden calls a bit of an informal meeting in the kitchen just to try and clear the air a bit if people wanna take one another to the side to talk. Aaron and Harry are a bit skeptical of it coming from Aden and his sulky moment with Louise recently kinda thing iykwim. Similarly The Wolfpack (BOTS has referred to the Aaron, Faye, Harry Jem side as the ‘Purple Koalas’ - not quite sure where that arose from) have become a bit sus of Aaron and Faye now being all ‘official’ with their relationship status and now both being nominated as if maybe its to appeal to voters.
Alex and Tom come up with a game of hiding rolled up socks around the house and a treasure hunt to find them. Aden wins that, and BB rewards Alex and Tom for their spontaneous idea by playing them the Macarena to dance to in the diary room on loop. And in BB bingo we got someone shaving their head - It’s Jay who decides to just cut it off after Louise does a bang up job of trimming around the sides.
Thursday: Theres another mini task, it's a version of ‘Deal or No Deal where the housemates all stood behind a Platter and cloche, a wheel is spun to select the player - its Aden. The top prize is a 3 course meal. Aden says no to both offers of a choc eclair for all the Hms and a phone call to Rebeckah as it gets down to only him and Louise left with the 3 Course or Beer and Pizza. Aden Has the Beer and Pizza which they win.
Aaron saying that he thinks that Faye is hot is a bonus to getting to know her comes out wrong to her and she gets offended. Later the tables appear to be turned as Aaron starts getting in another mood in the corner and tells her that he finds her burping (after the beer and Pizza) triggering like its nails on a chalkboard and its serious enough for them to consider just going back to being friends (‘But you’ll never replace Mark’ Aaron says and Faye isn’t sure if he’s joking with her) Wow.
More hair drama as Aden is getting a trim and Louise gets her hand to it and leaves him pretty patchy (it was pretty short to begin with and he wears a hat a lot anyway) but Aden’s not thrilled with it and its enough for him to consider walking, right up to dramatically putting on his Jacket and gearing himself up near the garden door, the others watching on thinking he’s surely joking, and yep, he decides against it (mate you’re already nominated for the following night?, plus, you wear a cap a lot anyway and that… hmm). Haha.
Friday: Jem & Faye have a bit of a tiff over Faye asking Jem to leave the bathroom while she has a shower. Aaron is spotted by the others talking to himself out loud outside, he seems to be thinking out loud his current thoughts on the others. Harry wins a ‘Posh Hamper of Nosh’ after passing a ‘Posh quiz’ in the Diary room that he’s 93% Posh. Meanwhile it looks like both Jay/Louise and Faye/Aaron are back on again?
In the Eviction, Aaron is saved first yet again, followed by Faye and Jay, leaving Aden and Anton. Anton is quite shocked to tears near the diary room as it’s Aden who is evicted, Anton expected to go with all the booing, and ponders whether he should change his tune or lean into the role of the villain as he thinks he might come across to the public. Later a food fight breaks out with a whole heap of the remaining Frosted Flakes boxes, resulting in Frosted Flakes EVERYWHERE, which again leaves Aaron beside himself at the sight of and runs to the diary room to tell BB about it.
BOTS: Quiz episode had BB8’s Gerry as the scorer, with Mark on Team Josie and Maisy on Team Jamie. Jamie and Mark did the fat truckers task out and around the studio grounds and back on set. Carole’s Distraction was a body suit with balloons in the right places. LOL.
Kim Woodburn was the Celeb of the week, Stuart Baggs from The Apprentice on with Tashie as an assistant in his segment about housemates careers, an excited man in the audience. There was a UFO expert on with a throw to Eugene and Jonty outside the house looking for UFO’s, Emma also interviewed someone from the task dept about some things upcoming next week with the movie premiere (that was one of the weekly viewer competitions also). Brian Belo, Shola Ama, Lauren Harries (with Glyn in a half season report VT), Luke from BB9 and David from BB10 were a couple of the other guests.
Saturday: Aaron was still in a mood about the Frosted Flakes fight the night before and comes to the diary room to have a moan about it whilst everyone else is cleaning it up.
There’s a mini task where the housemates letters from home are locked in suitcase bombs where they each have to cut the correct wire answer to a multiple choice question that comes up on the tv screen about who said a quote about them other wise the letter inside is destroyed.
The others notice Aaron walk off and brush his teeth during Anton’s letter being read out. Afterwards Aaron upsets Faye again during a conversation in the bathroom about him feeling like he can’t trust anyone playing games in the house and Faye feels like including her in that talking to Louise again after complaining about her previous is him saying she’s coming across two faced or something along those lines I think. After she has a cry in the diary room Aaron apologises to her.
Harry is the only one not to get his letter as it self destructs when he cut the wrong wire (It was Jay who said the quote about him and not Anton) Even though he just had the phone call to his mum a couple days ago, hearing from BB that it was from his girlfriend stings a bit and he gets a little emotional in the diary room.
Anton continues to ruminate on trying to be nice to everyone for a change of tact or whether to lean into and embrace the role of pantomime villainry on account of the audience reaction and booing. He tells BB he thinks he might go with the villain route and set his sights on aiming for the final.
Sunday: after last weeks ‘break up’ suddenly Jay and Louise seem to be a thing again, he’s been making messages for her still and they’re back in bed together. Later she has a bit of a claustrophobic cabin fever moment and seeks a quiet area of the house. Aaron leaves Faye one in cotton buds ‘A 4 F’ on her bed, as a prank Anton says it was from him. Aaron and Faye have also been stealing snogging moments in various places of the house including the storeroom where they are spring by Harry, and the bedroom where Jem walks in on them.
The housemates play ‘pegface’ in the diary room and Aaron wins with 47 Pegs to win a trophy and a bottle of champagne.
Monday: nominations are held. It’s Anton in front on 6 against Jay on 4, with Jem in 3rd on 2 and a handful on 1 pt. Jay and Anton come to the diary room to try and bargain for food as they are struggling, to the point Jay is rolling around the house. Aaron brings up the idea of doing a strike of silence, which lasts a while until Louise breaks it.
Nominations are announced and Jay and Anton are told to pack their suitcase immediately. The others are shown a goodbye message and the faces board is updated as if they’ve both been evicted, Aaron is skeptical although Louise gets a little paranoid if they’ve gone or not. Whats actually happening is they are sent to the large task room as ‘Ghosts’ in make up and a shawl, and the task room is a bedsit transformed as a ‘Crypt’ they get to watch the others and will have an opportunity to change noms.
Tuesday: Shopping task is based around scares, The housemates think they will fail if they scream more than 3 times during the task, however If Jay & Anton can make them scream more times, they will pass. Jay and Anton must pick the next one to receive a scare when BB calls them.
Louise gets a blood red shower, while Tom and Alex scream at things appearing behind the mirrors. They think they’re about to fail already.
Later Louise does a good job of keeping composed while the lights go off in Diary room and come back on with someone in a mask standing next to her, while Harry exits the diary room to a dangly fake spider and cobweb, and Aaron to a hallway massacre scene that jump when he pokes it. Alex is allowed to bring Tom into the small task room for support as they unveil a cage with Tashie’s head poking through barking like a dog. LOL.
Meanwhile Jem takes Faye aside about her concerns about if Aaron is calculated & playing a game of the rest of the house kinda thing, watched on by Jay and Anton who agree.
Wednesday: More watching the house by Jay and Anton. They start thinking about who they might put up if they choose 2 to replace them, Maybe Alex and Aaron against each other. The housemates are told about the Movie Premiere of Paranormal Activity 3 happening that night (The house has been done up with a red carpet from the stairs to the garden).
The housemates are set a mini task to be as entertaining as possible throughout the day, unbeknownst that Anton and Jay are viewing and they choose 3 of the least entertaining to be made up as zombies and have to sit out of attending the premiere. They pick Alex, Harry and Faye.
They are locked in the bathroom whilst the celebrities come in, including Michelle Heaton, Dane Bowers, Katie Price, Nikki Grahame, several CBB8 housemates such as Bobby, Lucien and Paddy. The others then head up to the outside portion just outside the stairs for the premiere, whilst the 3 Zombified housemates go to the small task room to be read a ghost story by BB. Meanwhile Jay and Anton are allowed in the house to upturn it a bit and mess it up. The others all return to find the house in a bit of a state.
After that they are called to the Crypt where a fake sence reveals Jay and Anton bursting up from the crypt beds. They get to pick one housemate each to join them up for nomination, Anton chooses Jem while Jay puts Harry up.
Later back in the house, Jay and Anton are telling Jem, Faye and Louise about how they saw a different side to Harry whilst in the Crypt, that he was having conversations with Aaron about how Louise was ’Thick’ (in actuality, he didn’t slag her off at all he just mentioned how sometimes he tunes out when she is talking, and Aaron verbally nodded along in agreement) and how It seemed like he was being two faced to her (were they just taking it the wrong way, or are they playing it up a bit to stir the house a bit). This gets Jem a bit paranoid about the others and she talks to BB about it in the diary room, while Faye asks Aaron about it.
Thursday: Aaron and Harry try and figure out what they were talking about that may have come across wrong with Aaron talking to Jay whilst Harry clears things up with Louise. The housemates overspend on the shopping list so the bottom items get cut off.
BB offers Jem and Faye a secret task to win some drinks for that evening, which involves stashing some fizzy drink bottles around the house so they can get gassy and burp on Aaron 15 times. Faye gets him twice, whilst Jem lets out 11 before Aaron starts to get extremely pissy about the whole thing, and Faye wants to abandon the task thinking its not worth getting into an argument over and getting upset with Jem saying that her family will be watching and thinking Aarons being a dickhead and that everyone in the house thinks so too. After BB tells Jem she has six minutes to complete two more belches, she gets it done while Aaron is having a chat with Harry in the bathroom, before going to Faye and saying she might walk as to not ruin Faye’s experience, but that makes Faye upset saying she also is over the drama and doesn’t want to be there anymore. Aaron comforts her outside that if the public thought he was playing games why has he been saved first 3 times.
Later everything is revealed and Aaron feels bad over lashing out at Jem and looking like a dick over that secret task, while Jem voices her idea of walking in the morning to the housemates.
Friday: This recap episode was a bit strange, the first half was a recap of the week before Friday’s action, reminded me a bit of way back in BB1 they used to do an episode like that per week. Maybe they were struggling for content this particular episode. Anyway Jem has a change of heart and tells BB she’s staying on in the Diary room. BB gives Tom a secret task to win Harry’s letter from home he missed out on this week. Tom has to make Harry blow his top at him. Tom attempts this by running up to harry on the lounge and smearing something on the Happy Birthday shirt he’s wearing for his girlfriend. Later in the bathroom he’s goading him to shout at him but Harry ends up walking away. BB deems this about 52% riled up so gives him the letter - although its only somewhat readable, the other % of it is redacted (BOTS read out the full thing).
Eviction result was interesting. The twist ended up not mattering as Harry was most saved (which surprised him that a ‘posh boy’ was getting support from the public and seemingly coming across well. Then shocker Jem is next most saved. A few on BOTS (and probably Anton for choosing her) were pegging her as an obviously likely evictee. Lastly Jay is third saved as its announced Anton is evicted. He is like fair play to Aaron he played (and seems to be playing) a good game.
Elsewhere Faye has been talking to Aaron all day saying how she really likes him but asking his opinion on whether they should cool it whilst in the house and be mates and pick it up on the outside or continue as they are. Later he appears oblivious to having ignored her in a group chat outside and is surprised when she goes inside and is annoyed at him.
In turn Faye has a chat with Jem that she might go if she’s up against Aaron by association and she’s really annoyed with him and cant be bothered with it. Jem attempts to ask Aaron for a chat the following day but he kinda palms her off saying he doesn’t think theres much point because of the things he’s heard she’s been saying about him (to which Jem says she has said to his face). Anyway Faye tries sort it out with Aaron to sort it out with Jem so they’re all on the same page I think but it gets a bit heated in the bathroom and later they’re just sitting in silence next to each other outside. OTOH in contrast Jay and Louise appear to be having a bit of doona action again to end the episode.
BOTS: Quiz Ep had Charlie (BB10) as scorer, Stuart Baggs on Team Josie and Aden on Team Jamie. They did a mish mash of the Ski machine whilst eating yellow snow task as a round, and Caroles distraction this week was dressed up in a wrestler outfit taking on Jamie on the floor. lol.
The Celebs of the week this week were all BB Runners Up: There was Nikki Grahame, Mikey from BB9, Dane Bowers, Eugene and Glyn. Some other guests included Maisy, Craig Phillips, Corin, Mark Little (played Joe Mangel on Neighbours), Keith Harris with puppets Orville and Cuddles, Aden etc. Mark had a VT and campaign to get Lauren Harries on CBB in 2012, Jamie took Aden to a recording studio VT and he rapped a song with Lethal Bizzle. Anton also did the quick thoughts on the other housemates and a mini quiz with Jamie.
Went ahead and Finished out the remainder of BB12, Also Started CBB9 the other night, Just have to loop back through the last two weeks for a bit of clean up of some of the dailies, BOTS skim throughs plus OKTV is back up so I'll do a quick skim through of that too and continue on with CBB9 after I finish my notes/write ups for BB12. Week 7 recap I'm pretty much done with so that will be up soon.
Saturday: Jem is not impressed after last nights argument, Faye and Aaron spent the night together in bed. Telling Faye she’s thinking of walking tonight.
Mini task: endurance two teams on rowing Machines, It gets down to Alex on one side Jem on the other and Jem lets her win it after 8 Hours. She wins a hamper of things and has a bath. She Also won the choice to see 4 of the others audition videos, she chooses Tom, Harry, Fayes and Aarons to be played to the group. (Unlike when they did this in BB9 when it was just a handful of them viewing and telling the rest about it.).
Jem and Faye have another argument in the garden where Jem says it feels like Faye is pushing her out and shed rather be on the outside explaining the situation than remaining in it kinda thing. In the end they both come to the diary room where BB tells Jem to come back in the morning if she still wants to leave whilst BB makes the arrangements. Meanwhile Jay and Louise appear to have the doona dancing again.
Sunday: Jem decides to stay with a fresh outlook, however Faye tells her she better sort herself out because the uncertainty is playing with her mind a bit.
There’s another mini task to win a prize, it’s sitting in the first room trying to trace though a screen maze the quickest from point a to b whilst being distracted by various things such as sexy fireman strippers, barmaid feeding them fondue, clowns and little kid with a silly string gun etc. Alex is last and must make the other beds (after earlier struggling with a fitted sheet on her own mattress) while Jem wins a beautician session and takes Faye along.
Later the housemates are bored and BB gives them the opportunity for music and drinks if they successfully pass a period of ‘Silent Entertainment’.
Monday: nominations twist this week, family and friends call in to the house to nominate played to the group. The mothers and Jem's Boyfriend have a bit of a pile on Aaron, whilst his Brother takes aim at Jem. Faye/Jem's Mum and Aaron's Brother also were on phone on BOTS and at the eviction show as well about it. Not surprisingly it’s Aaron and Jem up in a head to head 5-4. Faye isn’t sure how to take it and neither is Aaron as he’s again contemplating walking over it while assuring Faye he’s not leading her on as she again asks him if maybe they should cool it until they’re on the outside.
Meanwhile Tom and Alex appear to have been getting closer the last few nights and look like maybe a song is taking place under the covers.
Tuesday: Faye and Aaron chat after he’s been to the diary room and explains he’s calmed down taking it 10 minutes at a time as his mood is improving staying in the house.
Shopping task involves a bookies lounge, where Jay, Louise and Jem must bet on the outcomes of 5 bets, from a starting pool of £250 for £50 a bet. Bet 1 they just barely scrape in as Alex ate through 21 chocolate balls out of a pyramid, while they lost the second bet choosing only a few times Tom said ‘Babs’ in a short time while he did the third option of 6+ times.
The others know about the task, however they don’t know the outcome that the punters have picked so they can’t accurately game the task outside of what they think they would bet on to a certain degree. Bet 3 is Faye vs 10 year old Billy in a General knowledge quiz which starts off well for Billy but then Faye overtakes him and loses them the bet.
Bet 4 is Harry dressed in a fox suit, whilst the others are dressed as the hounds and they must chase him to capture his tail. They bet that he lasts more than 2 minutes but the others catch him quite quickly.
The final Bet is choosing what song Aaron will pick for Karaoke. They can go all or nothing on this one, and are split between Breaking Free from High School Musical or Don’t look back in anger by Oasis, but ultimately go with HSM as he loves it and Aaron picks it winning £300 in total for the shopping budget.
Jem again comes to the diary room wanting to walk as she said she watched Faye during the karaoke and she seemed happy so Jem thought it was her cue to go and leave her to the rest of the experience and for Faye and Aaron to sort things out between themselves (although it’s brought up on BOTS that maybe it could also be a mix of things such as not giving Aaron the satisfaction of beating her in the eviction as well perhaps). Meanwhile though Aaron is listening to Faye talking about wanting 3 kids and a Range Rover down the track and sounding off in the diary room about how they might be on different pages/expectations kinda thing about their relationship perhaps.
Wednesday: the next morning Jem solidified her decision to leave with BB in the diary room, although gives her a final choice: because she is leaving early enough in the week, the eviction will be canceled but the other housemates that got points this week will join Aaron up for eviction in her place, which includes Faye, Harry and Jay. BB gives her a short time to mull it over back in the house before she returns to confirm she still wants to leave.
After Jem packs her suitcase, BB announces to the group there will be a reset of the eviction because of Jem’s departure, and Jem says her goodbyes and leaves the house.
The housemates get a shot of cinnamon challenge that at least 3 of them must pass to win a 90’s themed rave party, which they complete.
Thursday: a mini task involved a sock wrestling tournament in the garden where the housemates dressed up as wrestlers with different persona names and try to get the socks off the opponent, with Aaron as the ref. Tom beats Faye (as her Darcy Steele character) and she’s a little embarrassed lol. Later there’s more music played into the house as Alex and Tom imitate the others dance moves in the diary room.
Friday: the face board has been re-arranged so the final 7 are on top and a suitcase with the prize money has appeared in the middle with a days to final counter on the side.
Jay’s strange and vulgar displays of ‘romance’ for Louise take another turn that surprises (earlier in the season one of his messages to her included one on a chair in the garden allegedly written in blood) when he wipes his ass on one of her pillowcases as a joke.
Louise wins some drinks and snacks for the house in a guess who said what about money quiz in the diary room played to the others in the lounge. They are shocked at Alex’s admission she once swindled a blind woman to pay for her own lunch by selling her a sandwich and shortchanging her.
Eviction night: Aaron is saved first again, followed by Jay. It’s a bit of a shock to the house as it’s Harry that goes (I was again hoping for Faye, to see if it might kick Aaron into another gear). Faye is a bit shocked as she stayed over Harry but she heard a lot of boos for her.
BOTS: Quiz ep had Science (BB6) as the scorer, Luke (BB9) on Team Josie, and Anton on Team Jamie. Carole’s distraction was a pottery wheel of chocolate with Jamie. Also Luke and Jamie played pegface but had the pegs all over them.
Celeb guest of the week was Vanessa Feltz also with an Agony Aunt style corner segment, They also had Gerry and Liam from BB8, Anton and Victor had a VT about visiting the Bulls in a field with some ‘Bull-shit, get it, Mark had a VT doing stand up. Some of the other guests included Pat Sharp judging some housemates musical efforts outside the house such as Anton and Louise, also Jamie’s band’s (The Beekeepers) 1997 song ‘Lunar’. Ben Adams (CBB6) played out the Saturday ep with A1 on a medley of their songs.
