So both Angela and Zoe have had back to back wins in challenges, and both been evicted as a result. Now in the original version of this format where the "Nomination Challenge" is the "Head of Household Challenge" one rule was that with the exception of the final HoH Challenge the previous winner could not compete, both ensuring they didn't get immunity two weeks running but also more importantly that in making their nominations they had to consider what might happen the following week and strike deals to avoid being nominated themselves.

So the question is should back to back wins be allowed?

One thing I think that is notable in the nominations is there rarely seems to be any thought beyond the here and now, and when there is it is more about who can win at the end, rather than what might happen in the next round and how can I nominate now in a way that protects me moving forward.

I think winning back to back challenges is good, but really only towards the end of the comp, cause if people are gunning for you, it gives you the chance to win your way to the final. It gives underdogs a chance, as seen with brooke on survivor all stars. Winning back to back challenges towards the start of the comp is a very silly decision.

In this format the only reason to want to win a challenge at any point is if you think you're in trouble. Unless you already have a strong alliance and have each other's backs then by all means go for your life.

I'd rather the winner got to vote in the eviction and the nominees didn't. Would work better if there were only two nominees though because they would only cancel each other out anyway. I don't understand why they went with three uness if only the differentiate with Survivor. Should have dropped the shopping challenges in favour of veto in this format.

I think Sonia Kruger should record a video message at the start of each episode, enter the house each morning, pretend to speak to all the housemates but is actually looking at cue cards, announce their promotional tie in, and start the shopping task.

The house can win a flat rate of $300, bb changes the rulez at any time obviiiii and they actually don’t recieve any prize at all so they initiate purge week and the three housemates left at the end of purge week are our 3 nominees and the housemates must determine their evictee telepathetically from their mass grave in what used to be the pool, windows painted over ofc out of respect.

call it Big Brother: Survivor

We could just supply them with bb guns, clubs and poisoned arrows, and let them "have at it" - great TV. :blackeye:

I think the type of challenges in episodes so far have been predominately physical. I'd like better variety. Maybe some challenges that are bit more intellectual would be worthwhile if the show returns next year? I think the Amazing Race sometimes does that type of thing well.

Chess.
But it might cause an uproar cos white moves first. Chequers?Same thing.
Just chuck a giant roulette wheel in there and bet on red or black.
Come to think of it. Im no BB historian but have they ever done a mock casino type betting thing or challenge in BB?
That would be kinda interesting.

Since they’re going down the path of the survivor-like format, I would really like to see a puzzle challenge so it’s not all based on physical strength. And in the case of 2 housemates being tied for eviction, I’m really hoping they have to do a fire challenge..! 😁🔥🔥

This thread is such a non issue and it’s getting tired, what non issue will brekkie create next week to further poopoo the new format??

Maybe they could take a cue from Survivor re. challenges and have alternate team challenges until it gets near the end, varying team mates and size of teams. That way, challenge winners will be feared as competition but also prized as team mates, creating another layer for potential strategies. It would help, since strategic game play so far has been pretty simplistic/boring/non-existent.
