Simon got two words in the finale.
How boring must his question have been if they were the most interesting?

i always thought that Baden seemed to be in holiday mode on survivor. Passive not active. Happy just to be a number. Any move he made was at the behest of the other tribe members. Even at the final three he voted out Harry because Pia clearly articulated to Baden what a big move that would be.

Kind of reminded me in aus survivor 2017 when Jericho convinced Tara to tie he vote 2-2 at the final 4 under the guise of a big move. Smart tactic because you know it's getting near the end and contestants will start thinking how they could potentially they could sell themselves to the jury. So if you dangle them a carrot they'll gobble it up like the goats they are. That's if goats eat carrots.

Problem of course with making such a big move that it doesn't really negate any of their goat like behaviours beforehand or afterwards, plus the jury isn't blind or stupid. They know who the goats are. Trying to convince them of the big moves you made is rather foolish.

I did think with these fundraisers they had to make the target for the money to be taken, which always seemed a bit harsh to me.

Anyway back to the show. Wasn't a huge fan of the challenge visually - painful to endure and painful to watch, but the plastic footholds just made it a bit less on theme to me compared to the usual wooden posts. Also amazingly despite only having 2 series back in 2001/2002 it seems compared to Australia and the US at least Survivor UK still holds some immunity challenge records. They had a final challenge that went for over 7 and a half hours before anyone dropped out, passing the 14 hour mark to get a winner. In addition they had a post-merge endurance challenge that went for over 24 hours in season 2 (in season 1 it was the mere 22 hours).

Glad Baden chalked up a victory but really do think he should have taken Harry over Pia - he'd at least have got some votes that way and possibly would have articulated better versus Harry than Pia, who like Kristy won it all at the final tribal. I bet had they voted beforehand it would have been more down tribal lines.

Agree though the final is one of the dullest episodes to watch - hate how it moved from set piece to set piece with very little reaction to events at the beach. I think breaking it up with those would have made it a slightly easier watch. That said head and shoulders the best produced show on Australian TV. I didn't think the lack of reunion would bother me, but actually there was a bit of fallout, so even had they done a pre-recorded one with just the jury and finalists on location it would have been a worthy addition.

I'm unsure if John or Shaun would have voted for Baden.

I don't think Harry would have voted for Baden either if it was done beforehand. Only because Harry respects good game play, and Baden obviously didn't have any.

And I always got the distinct impression that Daisy never liked or respected Baden at all. So I can't see her ever voting for Baden to win.

Not seen the Jury Villa episodes and doubt they would do one for Harry arriving but would have been interesting just to put that question out there before the final tribal.

I’m sure we missed something important from the Contenders tribe while the focus was on the Champs being successively eliminated. There were some strong divisions in that tribe.
