As suspected, tonight’s phone call eviction was likely staged.

Posted earlier in the Episode 13 thread, Here is our caller from tonight's show:

Rebecca (Bec) Andrews
Senior Casting Producer for EndemolShineAustralia

In a video posted to her twitter account, you can clearly match her voice to the caller we heard on the eviction show.

It's also strange that the caller was from Queensland and knew exactly when to call, when the show hadn't even started airing there at the time. The caller's tone was also really weird, with likeness to a colleague or manager, not exactly a "BB Superfan"..

This really is a new low for Big Brother in Australia.

I don’t know if it was…. Person below is claiming to be the caller. They were instructed to watch via 10play and it was the NSW stream

Can you watch the broadcast (not the live feed) live on 10 Play?

I would like to see the timestamp on that text. I would also like to run a check on any connections she might have with production.

Yep, all of their TV channels are also live streamed on 10Play. It's the same for Seven, Nine and their respective apps. It allows you to watch FTA if you don't have an antenna in your house.
With 10Play, if you change your region in settings to NSW, you can watch the show live even from QLD or the western states where it's not broadcast live.

My favourite is that this just makes it worse instead of corroborating the story. That screenshot didn’t prove that much anyway but at least take a new screenshot!
Looks like the image initially I posted of the text was the one that features in the second screen shot and wasn’t “Bec” hence the “copy”

Of course it’s staged and planned and deliberated about, regardless of who actually was speaking on that call.

The whole phone call idea was a blatant way to stack the deck in the favour of how the production team wanted it to go. It could have been done as simple as actually finding someone, finding out who they would vote to save, and then saying okay you’re in the draw to be our mystery caller, and going with someone who spoke well and had the same opinion that they wanted to go with.

Rigging one person’s vote is a hell of a lot easier than rigging hundreds of thousands of people’s calls which are also independently audited, which is the way they used to do things originally.

It was VERY low rent. I've only ever voted for one HM - the gay farmer David many years ago but if I was paying to vote now I'd feel EXTREMELY ripped off that all my efforts (and money) were in vain. Obviously we have no way of knowing whether the show has ALWAYS been rigged but yes, this was a new low for BBAU.

The fact voting is free is why they can do these kinds of twists. If we still had to pay for it, it would be illegal
