Frankly, no one is stupid. Mikkayla is playing the game. She using jade and the sugar sisters to form an allegiance. Being in a group or having someone backing you up makes you braver, bolder and more secure. She is using this tactic to oust anyone she doesn't like. I don't think she would have dared tell Tahan, she was her least favourite housemate if she didn't have the backing of the sisters and jade. It is a socio/psychological warfare in the house. I must say Mikkayla is at an advantage unless of course she gets nominated. I think she's hoodwinked most of you into genuinely thinking she admires Heidi. I see through her tactics. It is after all a game you see and I can see that she is very competitive. I know Matt finds her laughter very irritating as she laughs at things he finds no humour in. I can tell at times that it is a forced laughter. If Teaching is her forte she should stick to it. I'd think she'd do well in a disciplined environment barking orders, military perhaps.

Except she wouldn't refuse to do the spelling bee, nor would she be immature enough to feel downtrodden when she lost. Because, you know, she's an adult who doesn't rely on others saying she's pretty and smart to feel good about herself.

But the beauty pageant isn't the only thing that Tahan has done (and said) that has effected Mikkayla and the sisters. Tahan has been bitching about people for weeks now.

And Tahan wouldn't react because she hasn't had to put up with someone like herself(for weeks)! LOL!

Nope being tactful is about showing social maturity. The fact is Tahan is being beaten by Mikkayla because Mikkayla is playing the game smarter than Tahan i.e. being socially more tactful in how she does things and saying things to the right people, not just being an over the top bitch like Tahan.

All this 'oh poor Mikkayla' no, not poor Mikkayla, she's deliberately a domineering and trying person that is difficult to live with and the housemates are rightfully frustrated.
Like Estelle she seems to have gotten a following because people feel like the house is against her, except with Estelle she actually was treated like crap without a good reason.

The house was largely against Estelle. Though I also think she has a quirkyness that stood out against others. And while Estelle wasn't necessarily a saint the things said against her were over the top at times. The other HMs made their focus on her, more than there is a focus on Mikkayla. There's actually much more focus on Tim this year than on Mikkayla. Though Mikkayla is still getting the underdog edit, with Heidi gone that might be diminished more.
 
I don't like Mikkayla and am not afraid to show it just as you do not like Tahan. So quit trying to bully those of us who like Tahan into preferring Mikkayla over her. One person's meat is another person's poison. Your perception of Mikkayla and Tahan is different from Tahan. I wish Them both the best. You have a point there abt Mikkayla being better at the game, it also means she is not showing her true self. Tahan is bless her, being Tahan and she is not faking friendship either. She may be playing the game wrong but I still like her faults and all. She doesn't depend on anyone to prop her up and I love her for it.
 
Sorry, I meant to say that your perception of Mikkayla and Tahan is different from mine. I have some family members who are teachers and behave very much like Mikkayla and I stay away from them as much as I can. They always think they know more than any one else. I have a Mikkayla amongst my family members and the similarities are uncanny.

I think it is important to get one thing straight, that the rift wouldn't even exist between Tahan / Makayla and the sisters if it wasn't for Tahan bitching about the sisters, before getting to know them (not even being bothered to get to know them) and every thing escalated from that.

So next time you think about bashing Mikkayla for bitching about Tahan please remember this simple fact.

To be fair to Tahan, she might as well have tried to get to know a couple of pieces of cardboard. Those two have no redeeming features whatsoever. Just like Heidi said, how about you actually do or say something! For gods sake, watching them two is like watching paint dry.

Also, to the naive one who suggested that being tactful indicates social maturity, grow up. Do you live in the real world. People who say what they mean and mean what they say are almost always more highly valued than those that pretend they are fine with everyone. Stop trying to pass cowardice and weak-mindedness off as social maturity.

Wow! Your statement is almost impossible to swallow! You are using the judgment of Heidi, who was just evicted? I don't know what show you have been watching but the sisters interactions with Mikkayla and Ben have been quite interesting and entertaining.

Tahan's early comments where nothing more than a snap judgement. Even Tahan herself at one stage said she was beginning to like the sisters, until she put her stupid foot in it again and again. Tahan almost never says what she means and will often say nasty things and take them back strate away like it was a joke (what a joke)! At least Mikkayla doesn't mince words and her critisisms make sense.

The problem is that Tahan never apologizes for her snap judgment of the sisters and then she just kept pushing peoples buttons any time there was any conflict. I she had just apologised and stopped pushing people buttons thing would go a lot smother. Criticizing Mikkayla for bitching about Tahan is just a diversionary tactic to take the blame off of Tahan.

Erm, the only pretty one in that group is Jade. Mikkayla isn't bad looking, but she isn't a head turner. The sisters? Did you see what they look like in the morning? Even with makeup, they don't look good. I know that sounds mean, but.... yeah, don't care.

As someone else said, you can't even blame Tahan for that. The sisters walked in with such a fake aura and persona, and it's obvious that they're playing it up. They've already done and said so many hypocritical things. They're pushing the "WE'RE THE GOOD NICE GIRLS" thing too hard, and it's really become obvious that their strategy is to seem that way despite being very clever at manipulating their situation. I don't know about Katie, but Lucy has tried to do that from day 1. Would honestly be nice to hear Katie SPEAK for once. Tahan said she would even like to get to know her, but Lucy just never shuts up. It's quite rude how she talks over her older sister...

Anyway, Mikkayla is simply conniving. It's obvious what she's doing. Anyone who can't see that doesn't really understand how her mind works yet.

Personally I think Tahan is way better looking than Jade. I've never been in to the square jawed supermodel look, I actually find it slightly masculine. The cute face and tan skin of Tahan is much more appealing for me.

I don't think the sister kept up the cute image for very long in the house, possible even the next day they became relatively normal and I think Tahan was happy to continue judging them based on first impressions, probably because she was threatened by there early popularity. I agree that Lucy should let Katie talk more but I think Lucy is definitely the most switched on of the two and Katie seems to be okay with it. It might be different if they didn't have to be so close to each other all the time and they do seem to get along very well under the circumstances. Tully and Drew could learn a lot from their example.

As for Mikkayla, I don't see her as conniving at all. She might be hash with her comments and criticisms but I haven't heard her say anything that is untrue or stupid, unlike some other housemates. All I've seen is that her comments about Jasmin, Tully and Ben where all true and her comments about Tahan are true as well (even if she got a bit carry away). With Mikkayla she will say something and then move on. Tahan has been going on about the sisters for weeks now and anytime something happens between her and the sisters she goes all sarcastic and bitches about it to whoever is in earshot, but she does it in such a cute way that people just laugh and the sisters end up looking bad!

You know you are the voice of reason, for me anyway. I really like your rationale. Mikkayla has an attractive face, not so when she smirks or shows disdain or has that snitchy look. It annoys the hell out of me. Her tactics are buttering people up and complimenting them and feeding them. She's also planted the seed of hate for Tahan. Just listen to her and you get what I mean. She's got the sisters, jade and Ben in the palm of her hand. She's also been working on Tim.
