Well it looks almost certain that the show will launch on Sunday 9th November (probably with the launch show filmed the night before) and likely finish just 4 weeks later, probably on Monday 8th December based on how they did things in the old days - and pushing the final to the Monday effectively gives them an extra week.
If it's anything like BBUK expect too many HMs not being evicted quickly enough then unsatisfactory eviction "twists" into the final week to get the numbers down yet still have too many in the final.
Nobody here would choose a 4 week series but that's what it looks like we're getting. Initially I thought having two eviction cycles per week would be best but I think the majority of the week being based around the daily shows would be best with the exception of an extra eviction show in the final week.
Therefore I'd do the following, beginning with 12 HMs as a nod to BB01. There would be no intruders.
Week 1:
Sun 9th: Launch show. Recorded the night before or even Friday. Live streams launch after.
Mon 10th: Billed as night two of a three night premiere event. Highlights from the first weekend in the house plus I guess some kind of reveal, though not too big a twist as we're going back to basics. Maybe a secret relationship which is nothing more than that or an updated "3 point twist" or 'Superpower" - perhaps viewers secretly give a HM immunity or extra noms points.
Tue 11th: The third night of the premiere event features the first nominations.
Wed- Fri: Standard daily shows including the weekly task as the show reestablished it's core format.
Week 2:
Sun 16th: 1st Eviction (12 > 11)
Mon 17th: Nominations
Tue - Fri: Daily shows
Week 3:
Sun 23rd: Double eviction (11 > 9)
Mon 24th: Nominations
Tue-Fri: Daily Shows
Week 4:
Feels ridiculous this would be the final week but that's where we are.
Sun 30th: 4th eviction (9 > 8)
Mon 1st Dec: Nominations
Wed 3rd Dec: Surprise Double Eviction (8 > 6)
Fri 5th Dec: FNL Special - more of a "Mastercard Challenge" style show but a one off show to tick that box, with prizes up for grabs for the final 6
Week 5:
And just as it gets going it comes to an end.
Sun 7th Dec: Final double eviction (6 > 4)
Mon 8th Dec: Grand Final (with 4 finalists)
It's not ideal but just about workable if they stick to at most 12 HMs, though means lots of double evictions. If it were Celeb BB I'd add an extra eviction and noms show each week but I think for a "main" series it's better to keep the number of live shows down so most the week is reestablishing pure BB as the format.
Hopefully that would be enough to leave viewers wanting more and 10 would then expand to around 8 weeks the following year, sticking with 12 HMs but with more single evictions and this time bringing in Intruders after a couple of weeks.
