I think there was a report a few years back that she had some eggs frozen, so possible, although with the surrogate issue at the moment I doubt she would announce it at this time if she wasn't carrying herself

Whaaaaat? They won't axe the show because Sonia has become a mum. Easy to find a new host if she can't.
There were reports in 2012 that she was trying IVF

She had been using IVF but I thought she had, had a few miscarriages so surely she wouldn't be announcing the baby that early in the pregnancy and if she was late in the pregnancy she wouldn't be doing morning TV and a prime time TV show
Oh sorry, nah what I meant was that I am already having suspicions about Nine not putting a lot of effort into BB. I feel as though the actual BB HQ producers are doing their best, but I feel like Nine might be letting them down. The fact that they've pushed the show right to the very very end of the ratings season too also says a lot.
I just thought that considering Sonia will obviously have maternity leave, Nine might just use that as a contributing factor in them deciding to not go ahead with BB again in 2015. Unless this season is a massive ratings success (here's hoping), or they can't find another show to fill up their year.

Yeah I see what you're saying. This might be cherry on top of the icing the cake -- but it certainly wouldn't be a major contributing reason.

The worst bit is kids today would probably not "get" here and whinge that she has ruined the show with her insane wit and impeccable interviewing style and say that she is too mean compared to angelic Sonia.

Sonia wouldn't be the first TV presenter or BB host for that matter to have a child durring the run of the show... Davina McCall, Emma Willis and Julie Chen practically gave birth on BB over the years... If Sonia is indeed pregnant it will have little impact on whether or not the show is renewed... 9 months from today puts us at the end of May... A short break and a few keagle exercises later and she'll be as good as new... I'm sure the show will make special accommodations for her and the baby behind the scenes...

So I've read... Congrats... The rest of what I've said still stands... If BB is cancelled it will have nothing to do with her pregnancy... And in terms of her tenure as presenter her pregnancy is unlikely to have little impact... As Brekkie pointed out in another thread, Emma Willis had a six week break between her hosting duties between the first C5 run of BB and the launch of the winter CBB series... Unless she plans on taking an extended break from the industry as a whole she should be ready to go when the show launches next year...
I'd rather Scotty Cam than Shelly to host.
