…AI ART… a fun game using words to create pictures… no artistic talent required…

…lol!… but he looks like he’s having a bit of a losing battle converting Satan in the next batch lol!… cheers.Haha some gold there Sticky. Although it feels like Jesus is trying to convert the alien in some of those images.
…after trying a few of them out… Bing is definitely the best one… followed by Playgroundai and the fun silly one Ideogram being my third choice … all in all though… they’re all fun to use… especially when they’re free!… lol!… cheers.

…I just love their version of what a dalek looks like lol!… ai programs always manage to stuff the images up all the time… hence as to why we will always need the SeanE’s of the world… THEY have the TRUE remarkable talents we can depend on methinks!… by the way Isee… great combination of words to create those images lol!… cheers

Midjourney. I can't remember the prompts I used...
…that’s fantastic SeanE… which program did you use for that?… I didn’t think that an ai program could be THAT imaginative… man!… you must’ve used some great words to get that out lol!… hey SeanE… how as a professional talented artist such as yourself feel about ai work?… I know that after my major stroke took away my ability to paint and draw anymore away from me that I now rely on Photoshop and now ai programs that give me at least SOME sort of ‘artistic’ release but as a guy that does Artwork as a profession… do you see ai work as a threat or just fun for non artistic people?…
…I know from personal experience that when someone used to ask me to do a drawing or painting for them that when they were describing what they wanted done I’d do a myriad of quick sketches as they spoke to see if what I had in mind was even close to what they actually wanted… when we agreed on EXACTLY what they wanted (which angle they wanted of the subject/above or below the subject etc etc)… once I got it in my head the EXACT vision they had then in my head I would do it after having agreed on a price… (I did a lot of company logo’s in my day for instance just to mention at least one example)…
…today… they would probably just type what they want into an ai program and after a dozen or so attempts get what they want for free… can you see this affecting you or your colleagues for instance?… I personally know that I’d still go to a human first because their TALENT would produce better QUALITY of work… it would have a more ‘comforting’ feeling to it… more ‘heart’ to it… I know that sounds corny but that’s how I feel anyway…
…using ai programs feel ‘cold’ to me lol!… so what are your thoughts my friend?… cheers.
Your description feels like how I have felt when I have tried to use a drone with the thought of getting photos from it. Although flying a drone can take skills it's not the same skills as photography. It is not me up there with my eyes then pointing the camera. That removal from the camera left me cold. Doing this ai stuff is nowhere near as creatively fulfilling for me as making my own art. This thread is great for a laugh cos nobody is taking it that seriously. I have watched a few you tube videos about ai and how it could effect the creative industry, but it's all moving pretty quickly it's hard to be certain. But my two cents - yes commercially ai will have some impact but art is about more than an image you can make with some prompts. It's about the emotions it invokes for the viewer, but also for the healing and purpose it gives the artist. Ai I cannot see providing this.…that’s fantastic SeanE… which program did you use for that?… I didn’t think that an ai program could be THAT imaginative… man!… you must’ve used some great words to get that out lol!… hey SeanE… how as a professional talented artist such as yourself feel about ai work?… I know that after my major stroke took away my ability to paint and draw anymore away from me that I now rely on Photoshop and now ai programs that give me at least SOME sort of ‘artistic’ release but as a guy that does Artwork as a profession… do you see ai work as a threat or just fun for non artistic people?…

Looking forward to seeing SeanE's response too!

One thing you notice is that AI is extremely good at producing very attractive-looking women. Even if you aren't prompting to specifical make that. It seems to favour brunettes.
This is what it gave me for a "shoplifter."

It also likes to favour muscular men with beards. All with a similar haircut that is short on the sides and high on top. Type in man and they usually look some variation of this.

I think most of the AI data models were created by pervs.
So speaking of which today I manage to get Easy Diffusion working on my 9yo laptop. Had to have the fan blowing on it, and it still took 38 minutes to create a 768x768 image. I did see a laptop for sale here with an Nvidia GPU and a CPU double the speed of mine for (USD) $200 but it's also a 9yo model which seems like a false economy when for $500-600 I could get a spanking new one with way better GPU/CPU. So anyway that can wait until next year when I'm (hopefully) rich.
