…AI ART… a fun game using words to create pictures… no artistic talent required…

…I wrote in ‘Viking warrior, hi res, ultra realistic image’ and got these… a lot of them are your standard generic Viking that are seen in TV shows and movies… I wonder what they REALLY looked like?… it makes me wonder… a few of them are almost repeats of the others too… cheers.

Seems the AI only has those kinds of images to draw from.
…so it’s probably not basing its images on historic illustrations of Vikings such as images that have been put onto the Internet from encyclopaedias and history books etc but is drawing its images from just TV shows and Movies that have been on in the past 50 years or so… they’re showing us a ‘modernised’ version of Vikings not ‘historic’ ones it seems… I imagine it would be the same case for Roman Centurions or Gladiators… hmmmmmm!… interesting… cheers.

…because this AI stuff is so incredible I’ve taken on a project that is truly epic… it’ll probably take about 20 posts to complete it so if you can… please bear with my indulgence… in 1972 when I first heard this song (Song to Raymondo) it became one of my favourite songs ever… it’s a slow melodic ballad song with a great story… what I intend to do is break it down line by line and present a few images from that line so you can pick which one is closest to what you imagine best suits it… (there may even be two lines involved at times)… surprisingly so… about half of the images are exactly as I imagined them to be for those parts of the song… I was blown away that some were what I thought they would be for all those years… in each of the next posts I will write the next line of the song and put up the images that might fit until the song ends… as I said… please indulge in my my stupid quest… anyway… here is the song and the written lyrics…. cheers.

The wagons were painted in crimson and gold As they rattled along the way
As the travelling circus rolled into St Louis And set up their tents in the rain
All the children would laugh at the painted giraffe
And the tattooed lady from Spain
And Raymondo the clown with his grease painted frown And his heart full of sawdust and pain
The star of the circus was Madame Miranda The young ballerina from France
Night after night in a circle of light
On a silver white stand she’d dance
Round and round in a ring such a beautiful thing
To the sound of the tiny brass band
And Raymondo would stare at her long golden hair
And the lily she held in her hand
On Saturday night she was dressed all in white And the music was happy and loud
I will never forget on her last pirouette
How she turned and waved to the crowd
Oh the clown saw it all she did stumble and fall
And his heart fell as heavy as lead
As he ran to her side we could see as he cried
That the young ballerina was dead
So roll up your bags boys and bring down the flags And pick up your travelling load
For the show must go on so expect us by dawn On the outskirts of old Louisville
And the two will remain the clown and his pain
And the lady asleep on the hill

The wagons were painted in crimson and gold As they rattled along the way
As the travelling circus rolled into St Louis And set up their tents in the rain
