‘Big Brother: Secrets & Lies’

Is it cruel to love the torture of HMs?

I loved that Gina was chosen for her particular task, though if I'm honest I would have enjoyed a dummy spit more. And Dan was hilarious. But I did feel sorry for Jack, though I reckon he'll look better with his whole head shaved, so might work out in the long run.

Tasks are fun this year. Although: while I was pleased that they got rid of Jennings from the task team (I don't like BOTS segments that are more about the presenters than the housemates) the new task team segments are just as tedious.

And, still on BOTS, I miss Jamie in the phone room. Sure he used to indulge the crazies too much, but he was funny.

The more elaborate the whole task got the more I realized that if it was an Australian task, BB would probably have let them go after like an hour or two, and that's not before the HM's would be whinging and moaning.

Not to mention, the bit with Gina would have been criticized to absolutely no end by both general viewers and of-course the anti-everything groups. It was fantastically played out though, and added a whole new level of depth to Gina's character in the house tbh.

Kudos to the UK team - cannot wait to see how it concludes tomorrow! ;)

100% Agree! BBAU are never game enough to go the extra step with challenges and tasks. Hopefully now that they have been back on air for a year, they begin to take those extra steps. (Crossed Fingers)

This whole Wolfy and Charlie "fat" thing is driving me crazy! I don't understand Wolfy's response at all. If Wolfy has some sort of medical issue that affects her weight, then maybe I could understand a little bit. But it annoys me that she gets outraged over somebody saying they "feel fat". Saying it's the "f word" as if somebody forced her to put on extra weight.

Dexter and Gina are still my favourites because they are different to the boring group of Daley, Callum, Sam, Sophie, Charlie ect. ect. The Twins are slowly growing on me. I loved Dan at the start, than I hated him, now I am starting to like him again. I don't know if thats because he had an argument with my least favourite Housemate of all time from any series around the world (Jemima) or if I am genuinely starting to like him again.

Dan, Dexter, and Gina are 3 who aren't afraid to go against the mould and have an opinion and an argument and they are all definitely not fence sitters. There are wayyyyyy to many fence sitters in this years series so I think it is no coincidence that the 3 I am liking most at the moment are those who aren't sitting on the fence and aren't afraid to be their true selves (the good and the bad). The rest of the Housemates (minus Jemima who despite not being a fence sitter is just someone I hate and can not stand even 1 tiny bit) are all playing the game, flying under the radar trying not to do something that might be portrayed negatively to the public and the contrast between Dan, Gina and Dexter compared to the rest of the Housemates in terms of "real" personality is quite significant in my opinion.

I hope as the season goes on some of the other characters develop and start to come out of their shells so to speak.

This cast by far is one of my all time favorites... After the last 5 or so years of divided cliquey and often downright nasty casts we have a group of people that despite wanting to get on just can't... I find it hilarious...

Ad for next weeks nominations I have a feeling things are going to shift towards the duller HM's such as Callum and Charlie... Dexter is probably another target but I think he is slowly winning the public over... If he is nominated he'll be saved without a doubt... I'm hoping Wolfy will be a target as well...

Hazel is one of my new favorites... Dan and Gina are still at the top of my list... I can no longer stand the sight of Wolfy... I'd love to see BB try and break Jackie in a task... I figure she'll loose her mind in there...

The twins generally get on my nerves but they are funny to piss off... Dexter has won me over slightly in that he seems to really understand how to get under peoples skin... And in a strange way I see a bit of myself in the way he is... He seems to march to his own beat...

Sophie is a floater and I have no real reason to hate her but no real reason to like her either... Daley is starting to open up... Sam has pretty much been Jemima's lap dog until now and not much has been shown of his because of that...

Charlie is just stupid but her unintentional drama causing ways could get more entertaining as we progress...

I actually like Jemima after her interview... I think it was great to see Jemima admit that she made mistakes in the house and I think her interview actually gave some real insight in to her time in the house... I guess after last weeks interview anything would have been better...

It was also nice to see Emma not necessarily putting Jemima through the ringer for her actions inside the house but she did put things in to perspective for her in terms of how the viewers saw things... That's a sign of an extremely seasoned host... I'm over the moon that she's taken over the role and done such a fantastic job in doing so...

Jemima: I felt a little sorry for her tonight and thought she handled herself well with the boos. She might be self-centred and not understand boundaries, but overall she is a nice enough lady, albeit with an annoying voice.

Dexter/Callum: it was kind of Dexter to try to give Callum a heads up, but it turned out to be a mind fuck. Callum went crazy, but the BB house seems to do that to people.

Dexter's revelation: thought it was funny that he ended by saying he was 'fairly straight'. His actual sexuality is no issue, but how he presented it I found interesting. To me he sounded like someone with some gay/bi tendencies that he either hasn't come to terms with or didn't want to discuss. But what would I know, sexuality is complex and so is Dexter. Also, he had to expect that the others would tell that story to the group, but it was really gossipy to run off and tell it straight away.

The 'f word' fight: can't be bothered with it. Just depends on your POV.

Yeah there is a pool or hot tub or something hidden in the garden, Emma said during her tour.

Apparently Dan badgered Wolfy until she vomited, cried and got a nosebleed, it'll be interesting to see how much of it they show, bit dim on his part seeing she got chants from the public during last weeks eviction

I was waiting for something to air on this spoiler before I discussed it but have seen nothing.

How do you know it happened? Sounds like when Jay McCray shit in the freezer and we didn't hear anything until HMs were evicted and gave it up. Vital information kept from the viewers by BB.

Dexter would totally go with a guy (if he hasn't already). Maybe not ready to be so upfront on national television so was a bit cagey about it.

All they showed was him asking a few questions and her getting up and walking off and then sooking in the bedroom. Daily Star were going to run a story about it dramatizing it saying producers feared police would have to go in to question Dan lol

That conversation about Dexter's sexuality was weird. I don't think he is bi but isn't game enough to state he is categorically straight because he sees himself as a marketable entity. He wants to keep his options open business wise.

Looking at a few Big Brother UK websites and some Big Brother UK forums, Gina and Dexter are by far the two most popular housemates at the moment. It is unbelievable when you think back to the boo's those 2 got on launch night. They are my two favourite Housemates and I am hoping that Dexter can somehow survive to day 40+ because he will be nominated every week until he goes unfortunately. I think Gina has a good chance of making it all the way to the end.

The thing I hate about face to face nominations is the first couple of nominations shape the rest of the nominations because they all just copy whoever is getting the most votes so they don't get nominated. This week there was a good chance that Wolfy would have got some votes but now it is face to face I doubt it would happen. Dexter is going to get tonnes of votes. Would not surprise me to see Gina get some votes again as well as a scape goat because it is face to face but if it was normal nominations I don't think Gina would have been nominated. We will just have to wait and see I guess.

Just popping in (whilst shielding all above posts with my hands :p) to say that I haven't abandoned it, I just haven't had a single chance to watch any episode since our Thursday, which means I have no idea what happens or who gets evicted yet.

I'll return (and read all the posts I missed) shortly. ;)

Ugh Wolfy and the 'F-Bomb', it's relative. I want her to go, she pisses me off every time she's on screen.

I looooved the reward task, do that in BBAU PLEASE! Cal and Hazel's interviews were the most interesting. Cal super intelligent? If yes, then he's playing more of a game than I assumed. Hazel's very strong, her and Dan are a power couple in the house, I'm totally jealous she gets to touch him, even if he doesn't enjoy it as much as she does.

All caught up now. I'm not a fan of the psychics, astrologists, other charlatans, but the vegetable reading was hilariously awesome.

I also love Rylan, he's so perfect for doing the silly ridiculous stuff.

They made a real dogs dinner of exposing what they'd seen to hms in the videos. They agreed on a plan about them and then wolfy stuffed it by telling callum that they saw auditions.

I got the impression that Callum had slept with the mum and then at a later time went home with the daughter and the next morning met the mum. Awkward. But not a hanging offense. He didn't set out to bed both of them.

But apparently it was a lie.

I said Hazel was sly didn't I! She totally totally is.

Oh Cowie, your post makes me really intrigued about what's happened.

I need to catch up with the last two eps! I watched Thursday and Friday's last night. Glad it was Jemima that left.

TBH Hazel got a bad edit... I think they twisted what she was saying and I don't remember her saying half the stuff they said she did... The stirring stuff up comments she made was probably more about her getting work and less about her stirring up actual drama...

Callum I believe is only half the person he's trying to be in the house... You can only lie so much during the audition process just like you can only lie so much in the house... The fact that he's been so willing to jump ship this early shows that he's worried about his true character to shine through...

Regardless of how the story actually happened the fact that he's brought it up in the first place would still be a concern for anyone trying to have a relationship with my daughter... That said Jackie hasn't really made it a big issue with Charlie so far, other than voicing her concern...

The task itself was good for a dramafest, but you really can't watch something like that and not take it with a grain of salt... Anyone going through the audition process is going to bring out parts of their personality out to impress the producers... They aren't contractually bound to be that way inside the house...

Wolfy is a two faced little bitch... I hate her... I'm hoping face to face nominations will result in her departure... Callum also seems like a new target moving forward... Lets hope they start noms off with someone good so that if they do follow along with everyone else at least we'll get some worthy people going up... I'd hate to see Gina or Dexter up again...

I agree 100%. Especially the part about Wolfy and nominations. What a fake little bitch. She is such an attention seeking, over the top whiner. Unfortunately I think Dexter and Gina will be used as scape goats in the face to face nominations but I think Wolfy is a solid chance of getting votes from Dan, Dexter, Charlie and possibly Gina after the minor fall out they had. 4 votes could be all is needed if Dexter and Gina get a large amount of votes.

Is anyone getting a Nikki vibe from Gina???

Which reminds me where is bluegroper??? I'd be interested to know how he's liking the new season...

Yes - They played the video thing wrong, I would've lied and said BB said we can't tell you. Knowledge is power and they KNEW they could say they were lying to get into the house, so there was little to gain by sharing, but a lot to lose... especially on the Hazel front (looooove Hazel).

I love Gina, she just says what she thinks.

I've only seen F2F nominations once on BBUK and they had to preselect their nominations, then announced them. So couldn't nominate whoever nominated them, or whoever was trending.

I worry that the F2F factor might save Wolfy, housemates know she'll lose the plot being nominated F2F and some may spare themselves the grief... imagine her scowling and bitching about you all week, but having no guarantee she'll leave.

But I agree, I think Dexter, Wolfy, Gina or Cal might be up.

We'll have to wait and see... Hopefully I can remember to watch live tomorrow... I honestly don't think Gina will get as many votes this week... She seems to really have proven herself during the shopping task... She's also mixing better within the group... Dexter might top the vote, but the fact that he's been saved twice from eviction might work to his benefit... Whomever Dan picks will most likely be what everyone else follows, followed by Daley, and then Callum... Dexter should really play his cards to his chest in this round and try and win over some HM's through his nominations... If he tries stirring things up too much he's going to continue to be picked...
